Whether they've made a meal of your favorite socks, torn through couch pillows, or burglarized the treat jar, you know you'll always forgive your precious pup once they look up with those big, watery eyes that stare straight at your heart. But sometimes, our wily pooches know they don't need to turn on the charm offensive: they can get away with anything because we love them that much.
These sly dogs know who's boss, and they won't be owning up to their crimes anytime soon. Check out the video above to see a few puppers who were caught red-handed (or red-pawed?). They may be good boys, but they're still bad to the bone!
To prove that even the goodest of boys (and girls) can transform into furniture-wrecking hurricanes in the course of an afternoon, Instagram users are posting photos of their puppers in the act — and we can't help but giggle at how proud some of these pooches look. For example, Jeff the six-month-old basset hound pictured below looks pretty pleased with the toilet paper mess he created for his pet parent Maria Kellogg.
"Jeff has quite the personality on him," Kellogg said. "He plops down in the grass and refuses to move for most of his walks, and whenever he isn’t ready to come inside. He is a talker and grumbles about anything and everything, but hasn’t quite found his howl yet."
Naughty or not, his dog mama loves him more than anything — even when he fakes it.
"Mainly, he is a buddy," she said. "The best buddy someone could have asked for."
