On May 25, 1977, the Star Wars franchise changed the world. Episode IV, A New Hope debuted and quickly became a blockbuster hit!

Jello-O made its debut.

‘My Love’ hit Number One.

Who could forget this classic love song? In this week in history, Paul McCartney’s song My Love,” written about his wife, Linda, was No. 1 on May 28, 1973.

‘Saved by the Bell’ aired its series finale.

NBC broadcast the graduation episode of Saved by the Bell, which was the overall series finale, on May 22, 1993.

The toy squirt gun was invented.

It’s hard to imagine a world where we weren’t tortured by our siblings playing with squirt guns. But before 1986, that time existed! Lonnie Johnson, a former US Air Force engineer, patented his toy squirt gun in 1986. It soon became known as the Super Soaker.
