Last year, Kathie Lee Gifford opened up about getting older in Prevention magazine’s special “Love Your Age” issue. She admitted that she thinks about her age now more than she ever did before — but for the right reasons. “It matters for me now, because I do the math for the first time in my life,” Gifford said. “I’m really aware that time is precious and finite and that I’m going to run out of time for some of the big things I want to do.”

In terms of aging gracefully, Gifford credited her beloved late mom with teaching her how to do that, calling her “the happiest human being.” She added that learning to practice gratitude has helped her immensely: “I think one of the most important things to do as we’re growing older, other than be grateful, is to keep learning, be a student of something you’re passionate about.”
