The Adorable Way Mitt Romney Has Been Surprising His Wife for 50 Years Will Melt Your Heart

Love is clearly in the air these days. First, a baseball game’s kiss cam caught former president Jimmy Carter planting a smooch on his wife, Rosalynn, and the whole country was smitten. Now, it’s Mitt Romney whose wife has revealed that he has an adorable way of showing her he still cares.

It seems Mitt is quite the romantic, and he likes leaving little love notes around for his wife, Ann, to find. And he’s been doing it for a long time– almost 50 years.

“After almost 50 years of finding these little notes, I still get butterflies. Love you, sweetie,” Ann posted on her Facebook page earlier this week, along with the hashtag ‪#‎InThisTogether. And it’s not the first time she’s posted about her hubby; earlier this year, she posted a sweet Valentine’s message about him.

But still sending love notes after almost 50 years? That definitely takes the cake. We’re loving this sweet display of love, teamwork, and togetherness, especially at a time when negative stories about politicians seem to dominate the headlines.

After all, if there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that strong, everlasting love is a wonderful thing.
