As a commerce editor, my job is a balance between sniffing out the best deals on holiday gifts and testing products so I can recommend them with confidence. Throughout the holiday season, I’ve been testing various brands to bring you the best gift ideas. So, whether you’re still on the hunt for the perfect gift for your wife or girlfriend or a shopper looking to treat yourself after checking everyone else off your list, I’m here to help!

I know what you’re thinking — “Why would I be shopping for myself this time of year?” Well, because there’s nothing wrong with a little treat. Even the experts say so! Find out why buying yourself a gift during the holidays is actually beneficial, plus some ideas about what to get yourself this year.

It’s OK to Spend Money On Yourself During the Holidays

For many, the holidays are a time of giving. But that doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself to a gift or two. In fact, 64% of shoppers plan to spend money on themselves amid their holiday to-do.

Taking a moment to ask yourself “What do I want for Christmas” can have a few benefits. In addition to saving money — this time of year usually means the best deals on big-ticket items — buying yourself a gift during the holidays can be a way of rewarding yourself for all of the hard work you put into making this time special for your loved ones.

“It makes me feel better about having worked all year long,” Marlo Richardson, founder of Business Bullish, told Go Banking Rates. “I believe that there is an emotional benefit. It’s something tangible.”

Treating yourself to a gift during the holidays is also a great way to refresh and recharge. That gift you give to you doesn’t have to be something physical. It can be time alone to just chill.

“It’s important to give yourself a break so that you can be your best self at work and in your relationships,” Brian Greenberg, CEO of Insurist added. “The most important thing is to make sure that whatever you choose to do for yourself feels like a treat. For me, that means something thoughtful and handmade by someone who loves me.”

For others, that could be a spa treatment, a weekend getaway with friends, or even time each day to move your body.

No matter what “treating yourself” looks like, don’t feel bad about doing so this holiday season! Here are some ideas to get you started.

The Nugget in Moonshot

$269
  • Description
  • Pros

Our daughter is just starting to move around and this adjustable play couch creates the perfect place for her to explore! It gives me peace of mind knowing she has some extra padding as she learns to sit and crawl.

  • The fun color choices.
  • The fabric choices (which are machine-washable!) — we have microsuede, which is made from high-performance, superfine fiber polyester and super soft, but they also have double-brushed microsuede and corduroy available!
  • The flexibility of these pieces — you can create the play space of your dreams.
For the Planner

Wisteria A5 Daily LifePlanner™ Ring Agenda

$90
  • Description
  • Pros

There’s something so promising about a fresh planner! That’s why I’ve had one on my Christmas wishlist since I can remember. I love how customizable Erin Condren planners are because I can choose the layout of the pages based on my needs each year.

  • There are different templates and layouts to choose from. I'm partial to the daily format, but there are also planner inserts for those who prefer weekly or monthly views.
  • Erin Condren has planners for teachers, families, and more!
  • The accessories from Erin Condren are second to none — I love spicing my planner up with colorful writing tools and stickers.
For the Jewelry Lover

Mini 18K Gold Custom Spaced Letter Name Necklace

  • Description
  • Pros

Buy from Baublebar, starting at $138

Thanks to my love of Disney jewelry, I’ve been seeing targeted Baublebar ads for a long time. When I discovered they had customizable name necklaces in 18k gold, I knew I needed one with my daughter’s name!

  • This necklace is totally customizable and can say anything you want.
  • They have a stunning gold and pavé option, too.
  • This necklace is the perfect length — 17" — with 2" of extender.
For the Messy-Bun Enthusiast

Oversized Scrunchie Set

$23
  • Description
  • Pros

As someone who pulls their hair up into a messy bun more often than not, these Lilly Pulitzer scrunchies are my favorite. I have pretty thin hair, so when I pull it up I like it to look like I have more volume than I really do. These oversized scrunchies help create that illusion!

  • These scrunchies are made with satin, which is great for delicate hair like mine.
  • They add a pop of color to my otherwise neutral wardrobe (I have the Multi Soleil It On Me pattern).
For the Pasta Partisan

Rubirosa Pasta Sampler

$43
  • Description
  • Pros

Sometimes, a new pasta can completely transform a dish. After trying these uniquely-shaped pasta variations, I’m hooked! They’re a great way to amplify tried-and-true recipes.

  • This set comes with lumache, trottole, and casarecce pastas.
  • This is the perfect gift for friends or family who live far from you — there's nothing like sending a meal, especially during the holidays.
For the Winter Walker

Women's AKHG Ursa Major Waterproof Down Jacket

$180
  • Description
  • Pros

As someone who works from home, I strive to get outside once a day, even if the temperatures are freezing. This jacket hits my mid-thigh and is the warmest winter jacket I’ve ever owned!

  • The light-yet-durable shell is waterproof but breathable.
  • There's a head-hugging hood liner that helps keep the hood in place when it's up.
  • There are pit zippers, which was a new but happy discovery for me!
For the Workout Warrior

The Compression Legging W/Fused Waist Band

$149
  • Description
  • Pros

These are some of the most buttery-soft workout leggings I’ve ever worn. They move with me no matter what kind of workout I’m doing (but let’s be honest, I wear these almost daily as my “WFH uniform”).

  • Stunning color choices included olive (pictured), mauve, maple, and black.
  • Flexible sizing (I wear a M/L).
  • What I call a "squat-proof waistband" that keeps these leggings in place as you move.
For the Winter Cocktail Connoisseur

The Corto Cup Cocktail Kit

$65
  • Description
  • Pros

I’ve become something of a home bartender thanks to the Corto Cup Cocktail Kit, a collaboration between Corto Olive Oil + Camp Craft Cocktails. The kit contains dehydrated lemon, cranberry, sage, and citrus infused sugar that allows me to infuse my own vodka. This delicious cocktail is finished with a whisper of Lemongrass & Basil Olive Oil that leaves friends and family wondering “What’s in this?”

  • Easy to create a fun and festive cocktail without the price tag associated with going out!
  • Makes for a fun gift.
For the Frequent Flyer

Rollink Flex 360 Carry-On Fully Collapsible Suitcase

$186
  • Description
  • Pros

As someone who travels a lot, I like luggage that stands out and is easy to find when it comes time to get through baggage claim. Not only does Rollink offer slim, easy-to-store luggage — they also come in fun colors like my personal favorite, Yellow Iris.

  • It's a fully collapsible four-wheel spinner suitcase — the first in the world!
  • This suitcase is extremely lightweight, weighing just 6.2 pounds.
  • Multiple sizes available including carry-on and checked bag sizes.
For the Small Purse Gals

RFID All in One Crossbody Bag

$44
  • Description
  • Pros

These days, I don’t need much outside of my keys, cards, and phone. When I do actually have to use a purse, I usually only need something that can hold these necessities, like this small crossbody bag from Vera Bradley.

  • RFID protection for credit and debit cards!
  • Front exterior pocket that fits my iPhone perfectly.
  • Holds 10 cards.
For the Smooth-ie Operator

BlendJet 2 Portable Blender

$50
  • Description
  • Pros

Sometimes, breaking out the traditional blender feels too much like a chore, especially if I’m only making a smoothie for myself. Enter the BlendJet, a portable blender that allows me to make smoothies and protein shakes anywhere (including my car).

  • A TON (57 to be exact) of fun color options.
  • You're not limited to smoothies and shakes — this thing makes on-the-go margaritas and baby food, too.
For the Tequila Fan

1953 Tequila Añejo

$236
  • Description
  • Pros

This wouldn’t be a treat-yourself round up without a mention of tequila. This añejo from women-owned brand 1953 is quickly becoming my new favorite.

  • This tequila is free of additives (because who needs them!?)
  • 1953 Tequila is founded, farmed, distilled, and run by women.
  • It's super smooth and drinkable straight up or on the rocks, but also makes for a delicious margarita if you prefer.
For the Diamond Girl

Petite Lab-Grown Solitaire Stud

$375
  • Description
  • Pros

There’s nothing like an everyday earring and these lab-grown diamond studs are just that. They’re petite, sustainably grown, and can be dressed up or down!

  • Three diamond shapes to choose from.
  • Three metals to choose from (I'll take a pair in each!) including yellow gold, white gold, and silver.
