Bath & Body Works is known for their endless and ever-changing selection of scented hand soaps, candles, body washes and more. And now, the retail store has revealed a new line of snack-scented candles that have shoppers sharing their mixed reviews of the products. Bath & Body Works latest candle combinations
One of the strangest candles offered at Bath & Body Works is their new Pizza and Ranch 3-wick candle. The candle’s description reads, “Feel the stress of the week melting away by diving into your favorite duo—hot pepperoni pizza and creamy ranch dip.” Expect fragrance notes of gooey cheese, crispy pepperoni and ranch dressing.
Reviews for this one are mixed. One person wrote, “The most vile scent to ever penetrate my nostrils. Whoever came up with these candles should be punished. I had to leave my basket behind as I couldn’t stop gagging 0/10 not even worth giving as a gag gift unless you literally want to make someone gag. On the other hand, a great gift for your worst enemy.”
Most reviewers agree the scent needs to be taken off shelves, with another writing, “I still get chills and nausea when I remember the smell of this candle. When I smelled it, I had to run out of the store because I couldn’t tolerate any other fragrance.”
However, some people enjoyed the pizza scent, with one reviewer saying, “When I tell you this candle had my whole house smelling like a late-night pizza joint in the best possible way…I bought one and immediately went back for backups because I refuse to live without it.”
Another combination that had shoppers questioning the store was the Chips & Salsa candle. Reviews were mixed, with one person saying, “This smells awful and I almost threw up when I smelled it, just like thousands of other people,” while another said, “The moment I lit it, my entire house transformed into the world’s most festive Mexican restaurant…I’m considering buying ten more.”
The Popcorn & Slushie and Coffee & Donuts pairing candles had much better reviews, as shoppers enjoyed those scents much more.
Holiday Dill-ight: The Pickle Scent Debate
Lately, pickle flavoring has been added to just about everything you can imagine—from chips to candy—and now Bath & Body Works has introduced their pickle-scented candle, Holiday Dill-ight, with fragrance notes of pickle juice, fresh dill and flaky sea salt.
This is another flavor with differing opinions. One positive review reads, “If you like the smell of dill pickles, you will like this. I think it’s great, and I bought it for me to enjoy.” One of the negative reviews, however, says, “If you want your house to smell like a pickle, I guess buy it. I wouldn’t waste my money.”
So, if you’re not a pickle lover, this might not be the candle for you. As for the other candles, it truly depends on whether you want your home to smell like these tasty foods.
