Joanna Gaines is one busy lady. Just yesterday, the home guru and her husband, Chip Gaines announced a brand new series, Growing Floret, which will hit the airwaves on their soon-to-be-launching Magnolia TV network on October 4 and tell the stories of people who are chasing their dreams. Add in her ever-growing Magnolia and Hand and Hearth for Target home décor lines, her seven books, and the couple’s five children, and it’s a wonder she manages to have any time leftover for normal, everyday things — like makeup. And yet, the 41-year-old beauty seems to have it down pat!

In a post on her own Magnolia blog, Joanna shared her makeup routine after fans flooded her social media accounts with questions, desperate to know just what she uses to attain her gorgeous glow.

Alongside her go-tos, she shared her love for doing her own makeup, especially during her Fixer Upper days, saying, “I don’t really love to have a team of people swarming me to touch up my blush and ‘shine spots.'” Instead, Joanna said she took to carrying around a little bag of essentials she could use for easy touch-ups.

Joanna Gaines’ Makeup Routine

For Joanna, less is more when it comes to applying cosmetics that will help her achieve her signature and effortless look. “My makeup routine is pretty simple,” she shared, adding, “I try to keep things pretty simple.”

Still, she likes to add a little polish in the form of a great nude lip, a pop of color on her cheeks, and even a sultry smoky eye from time to time, and we know exactly where you can find them.

From her go-to mascara ($35, RevitaLash) to the long-lasting lipstick she loves above all others ($19, MAC Cosmetics), we’ve rounded up a list of her must-haves. Keep scrolling to shop the 10 products that Joanna can’t live without!
