When it comes to shopping at HomeGoods, it’s easy to head in for one thing and make your way out with a cart full of items you didn’t realize you needed, but having a game plan can be essential if you’re hoping to avoid spending big—and it’s a game plan that led me to discover the Blue Sky Clayworks ceramic houses and cottages.
On a HomeGoods run about a year back, I was seeking out a seasonal tabletop accent to sit on my bar cart—perhaps a glass pumpkin, a sweet smiling jack-o-lantern or a black cat figurine that would spark joy. Instead, I stumbled upon a series of intricately designed seasonal ceramic houses and cottages—and I knew I was in trouble.

The joy of seeking out these pieces at your local HomeGoods is credited to the fact that you never know what your store might hold, but folks have been sharing their seasonal finds on social media and we’re entirely obsessed. Back in July, one user, @sweetwillowlifestyle, shared a video to her Instagram of the Pumpkin Palace. The white ceramic house is adorned with vibrant orange jack-o-lanterns, and its abstract shape and structure is totally whimsical!
Another user, @junkandcrafttreasures, shared some of her finds at her local store, which included the Pumpkin Patch Palace. This piece is a traditional-looking home sitting atop a grassy lawn with steps leading up to the front door. Pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns line the grass and walkway, and on top of the roof sits a plump orange jack-o-lantern with a witch hat.
While I haven’t yet had the time to peruse what’s available at my local HomeGoods this year, last year, I scored big with Count Batula’s castle, a haunted house looking statue surrounded by sweet jack-o-lanterns and flying bats, as well as the Spicy Pumpkin Tavern. This short pumpkin-shaped structure advertises the “Crow show” at 8 p.m., as well as “Naked Crows Nightly”—a truly campy addition to my collection!
