What is the World Market Golden Egg Hunt?
Following the success of the retailer’s Christmastime Golden Nutcracker Hunt, World Market has brought back another scavenger hunt—this time with a spring twist! The Golden Egg Scavenger Hunt event, which began on March 16, offers shoppers a change to snag some great prizes.
Every day, each World Market location hides eight golden egg game pieces throughout the store, and shoppers can collect a $20, $50 or $100 reward if they find one! If you’re a super sleuth, this fun event is a great way to put your skills to the test and earn some free money to put toward your favorite World Market finds.
How to play the 2026 World Market Golden Egg Hunt
Ready to start hunting? Here’s how the Golden Egg Hunt works: Store employees will hide four golden egg game pieces during the first game of the day, which takes place from store opening to 3 p.m. The remaining four pieces are then placed for the second game, held from 4 p.m. to store closing. (Any unfound eggs from the first game will remain hidden so other shoppers still have a chance to find them in the afternoon.)
Don’t worry—you won’t have to aimlessly search the shelves to locate one of the shiny cardboard eggs. World Market is providing everyone with a daily clue to make the hunt easier for shoppers! The retailer will share this helpful hint in each store, on the website and on social media. Teasers like today’s clue, “Golden Egg can be seen hiding next to something green,” will give you a great place to start.
If you find one of the coveted golden eggs, take it to the nearest store employee, who will then give you a reward coupon for one of the prize amounts mentioned above. One important note: The coupon must be used on the day it is awarded, so make sure you treat yourself that day! The good news is that it’s valid on everything but alcoholic beverages and gift cards, giving you the chance to score that item you’ve been eyeing.
There’s one other rule customers should know about before they participate: You can only win one reward during the 2026 hunt. This is true no matter what location you visit!

World Market customers have been quick to share their excitement about the return of the beloved spring scavenger hunt. Though some expressed frustration at their ability to find a golden egg, a fellow customer encouraged them to not give up hope.
“Sometimes the employees hide them a little too well,” shared a Facebook user. “One time we were there at like 7 pm and there were still two not found. That’s pretty atypical. We’ve gotten one every season they do it; our kids like hunting for them.”
Another happily confirmed that it is possible to find the golden eggs—and walk away with an impressive prize. “We found one egg yesterday worth $100!” she commented. “What a surprise. Of course, we bought the pizza oven we’ve been looking at for a while now. Can’t wait to do the first pizza.”
