In early November, World Market kicked off this exciting interactive experience shoppers could participate in daily. Every day, eight numbered postcard-sized cardboard signs featuring a golden nutcracker are hidden throughout World Market stores. The first game takes place between opening and 3 p.m., when the first four golden nutcrackers are hidden. The second game begins at 4 p.m. and goes until closing, when the remaining four game pieces are hidden. If you manage to find one of these hidden pieces, you could win a $20, $50 or $100 reward.
Though this adventure might sound simple enough, World Market lends a hand to shoppers each day with a clue shared on their site, on social media and in their stores. For example, a clue previously shared was, “Golden Nutcracker, fun & merry, sits right next to the color of cherry.” Considering the “color of cherry” is red and most World Market locations are decked out in red Christmas decor, it’s safe to say that these scavenger hunts aren’t always the easiest!

According to the World Market website, there is a limit of one reward per person, and when the golden nutcracker is found, the shopper must bring it to a store associate where they can exchange it for a coupon that must be used on that day.
