Home Depot’s viral Halloween bucket is back! If you missed out on last year’s drop—or want to grab the latest edition—you have another chance to do so this summer. And the bucket has a brand new look for 2026. Find out everything you need to know about the new Home Depot Halloween bucket below, including a change in how you can buy yours!

What is the viral Home Depot Halloween bucket?

Halloween may still be months away, but Home Depot has already unveiled its 2026 spooky season collection. And it’s not animatronics and larger-than-life decorations that are garnering the most attention—it’s the iconic Halloween bucket!

Mini buckets and containers are still as popular as ever, but this particular find stands out. Not only is it a full-sized, 2-gallon bucket, it also features a unique design that’s perfect for fall.

The bucket flew off shelves last year long before October 31, and it’s expected to sell out just as quickly this year. Shoppers have started to spot the pails at their local Home Depot store, and now everyone can’t wait to snatch up the new product.

Shoppers are already obsessed with the new buckets

News of the buckets’ return has quickly spread on social media, and fans could not be more eager to get their hands on one.

“Who buys a bucket just ‘cause of [a] Halloween design? Me. I want 10,” one Facebook user quipped.

Many chimed in to suggest how the seasonal find could be used this autumn.

“Perfect trick-or-treat pail for someone dressing as a Home Depot employee, construction worker, carpenter, Bob the Builder, Handy Manny, traffic cone, etc,” a commenter shared.

If you also love the idea of using the bucket to collect—or hand out—Halloween candy, you’re not alone. Several shoppers confirmed the container was a huge hit for this last year, and they can’t wait to enjoy their pails again.

How the 2026 Home Depot Halloween bucket compares to last year’s

At first glance, the buckets appear to be similar to the 2025 edition, but there is a key difference: the design! While both still feature an orange base and the Home Depot logo, the retailer gave the Halloween-inspired pattern a makeover this time around. And it’s just as fun as the original print!

Last year’s buckets featured Jack-O’-Lanterns, spiders, webs and ghosts for a ghoulish effect. Recent videos and photos show the new release covered in a haunted house scene complete with ghosts, pumpkins, bats and more. There’s also a special touch: the year 2026 spelled out in a spiderweb!

The best part? The price. The buckets will remain at $2.98 for the 2026 Halloween season.

Where and how to buy the Home Depot Halloween bucket

Whether you’re a bucket collector or looking to buy your very first one, you won’t have to wait much longer to shop. A spokesperson for Home Depot confirmed to Woman’s World that the buckets are currently rolling out to stores now and will continue to do so throughout August based on location.

Even better news: The buckets will be sold online this year! In 2025, the only way to snatch up one of the containers at retail price was to visit your nearest store. Now, Home Depot is planning to make them available on the website at the end of August. They’re likely to go fast online, however, so make sure you check the product page on HomeDepot.com frequently to snag yours before they’re gone.

No matter how you plan to use it—as a party centerpiece, a candy container or a festive fall decoration—the Home Depot Halloween bucket is a must-have seasonal find.
