Memorial Day is just around the corner—and Americans everywhere are making plans to honor our country’s heroes and celebrate patriotism. So I did what any good shopper would do: I grabbed my phone, headed to my local Walmart and walked every seasonal aisle so you don’t have to. From faux patriotic bouquets to picnic plates and drink coolers, the shelves were packed with festive finds—and nearly everything rang up for under $15. Here are my top picks, with photos I snapped right in the store!
Plastic tumblers

As soon as I saw these festive tumblers and water bottles, I knew they had to make the list. The 20-oz. tumblers come in red, white and clear shades—making them a wonderful choice for your holiday bash. I also loved that Walmart has an 18-oz. bottle that comes with a lid and wrist strap, perfect for toting to a parade or backyard party.
Mini cooler

You may think you have to spend a lot to get a high-quality cooler, but this $13.44 find proves that isn’t the case. I was pleasantly surprised to see an Igloo brand personal-sized cooler for such an affordable price, and impressed to see it can keep up to 13 cans cold too. Find them in two patriotic variations: red with a blue lid or blue with a red lid.
Memorial Day artificial flowers

This was one of my favorite finds of the whole trip. Walmart sells beautiful faux bouquets in a vase for just $9.98 and wreaths for $12.86 to help you salute the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. The best part? Since the blooms are artificial, you won’t have to worry about fading or wilting.
Food tents

I know the struggles of watching pesky bugs invade an al fresco meal, so these handy food tents are genius in my opinion! The $5 pack comes with three mesh tents in classic Americana colors—each of which can be folded down when not in use.
Garland

I almost walked right past this one, assuming it would be out of budget—but I’m so glad I stopped to check the tag. This ribbon garland is just $12.97 and will have your patio, picnic table or entryway bursting with American pride in no time. The 6-foot-long piece features fabric strips in red, white and blue star and stripe patterns.
Plates and napkins

The paper goods aisle did not disappoint. I spotted a set of napkins for just $1.95 that are a wonderful fit for Memorial Day—and they pair perfectly with an 8-count of oval plates ($2.97) in a matching patriotic design. Together they’d make any picnic table look festive without spending a fortune.
Tablecloth

Anyone who’s watched a tablecloth fly off the table mid-cookout will appreciate this find as much as I did. This “stay put” table cover has elastic corners that ensure it will never blow off the table when a gust of wind blows through, plus a the waterproof material that makes it spill-proof. Grab it in this fun checkered pattern for just $2.47.
LED candles

I saved my favorite find for last: As the sun sets, these star-shaped LED tealights can help create a dazzling display. Each candle in the 3-pack ($4.97) looks surprisingly real thanks to the warm white “flame,” but the battery-operated design guarantees it stays cool to the touch.
From the moment I walked in to the moment I checked out, I was genuinely impressed by how much Walmart is offering this Memorial Day season—and how affordable all of it is. Whether you need picnic supplies, décor or both, your local store has you covered.
