Bioverse brings weight loss to four U.S. states
With a motto that “science-backed longevity treatments should be available to everyone,” Bioverse primarily focuses on providing accessibility. The company, which was founded in 2018, offers a wide range of treatments, including: longevity, weight loss, autoimmune support, erectile dysfunction, hair loss, skin health and more. It’s only available in Florida, Texas, Michigan and New Jersey at the moment, but it’s LegitScript-certified, showing it’s considered safe and trustworthy by medical experts.

Bioverse is only available in NJ, TX, MI and FL.
Signup is quick
You’ll start out by picking your desired weight loss treatment and filling out form detailing your goals and health history. Once you’ve sent in the form, all of your information will be reviewed by a team of licensed professionals. Then, if your prescription of choice gains approval, your medication will be sent to your home. If not, you’ll discuss your options with a provider.
Bioverse doesn’t require testing or appointments for GLP-1 prescriptions
Some telehealth providers, like Noom Med, require testing prior to writing a GLP-1 prescription. However, the process at Bioverse can be quicker. New patients simply complete their intake form, and a medical provider will review their information. They will then determine if the requested medication suits you. Although this is more convenient, there are benefits to undergoing tests to ensure GLP-1s are right for you.

Once you obtain a prescription from Bioverse, you can contact your provider at any time moving forward. Whether you have questions regarding progress, dosage, diet on a semaglutide medication or side effects, they can be answered by one of Bioverse’s on-staff physicians. To do so, you’ll simply navigate to the “messages” feature in a secure patient portal.
Customer care for prospective customers is hard to reach
If you have specific questions about possibly obtaining medical care through Bioverse, contacting customer service is a bit trickier. We called the customer service line, and after being placed on hold for a while, we were told to leave a message. While this may be easier for the company to handle many questions at once, it can be difficult as a prospective customer to not be able to talk to someone on the phone.
Features and benefits:
- Virtual business model
- Quick signup
- No appointments or testing
- Variety of treatments, including name brand and generic GLP-1s
- Text support for existing patients is always available
Bioverse doesn't take insurance, and cost varies
At the moment, Bioverse does not take insurance of any kind. On one hand, many insurance plans don’t cover semaglutide for weight loss, anyway. Obtaining approval can also take quite a while. However, paying out of pocket for GLP-1s tends to be pricey — luckily, the company offers cheaper generic semaglutide and Tirzepatide medications that are cheaper.
The cost depends on your GLP-1 prescription
What you pay for your Bioverse experience completely depends on the treatment you purchase. Semaglutide starts at $159 per dose and Tirzepatide starts at $234, which increases with increased dosage. Metformin doses cost $25; Wegovy doses cost $1,999; Ozempic doses cost $1,799; and Mounjaro doses cost $2,199. The cost does not include a membership fee, which means customer care comes with the cost. Shipping is also free.

Bioverse is quick and convenient, but there are better choices
Bioverse guarantees a quick turnaround for patients looking to obtain a GLP-1 prescription. If you live in one of the four states Bioverse serves as of November 2024, it doesn’t require testing or virtual consultations. And it doesn’t require or take insurance, which makes for a quicker turnaround time. There are other places to get semaglutide prescriptions with better customer service, and that may be safer with more required vetting to before prescribing a medication, but if you are looking to get GLP-1s quickly, this is a valid option with a variety of treatments available.
