Remedy Meds is a telehealth provider focusing on weight loss through GLP-1 medications like compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide. The platform claims it can help you get approved in just a few minutes, offering transparent pricing and a straightforward online process. According to our mystery shopper inquiries, Remedy delivers on fast access and upfront costs, but its higher pricing and poor online reputation raise some concerns.

As of June 2025, the FDA removed both semaglutide and tirzepatide from its drug shortage list, a move that limits when and how pharmacies can legally compound these medications. Though compounded GLP-1s remain available through Remedy Meds, it’s important to note that these versions are not FDA-approved and may carry risks related to dosing, safety and quality. Patients considering compounded medications should weigh those risks carefully and consult with a trusted healthcare provider.

Remedy Meds offers GLP-1 medication and a fully online experience

To get started, Remedy Meds has you take a quick two-minute quiz to see if you qualify. Once you complete the quiz, Remedy will assign you a US-based licensed clinician to prescribe either compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide (oral or injectable). If there are no issues, the doctor may prescribe you medication within 24 hours.

However, you may need to conduct a video consultation before your doctor writes you a prescription for GLP-1 medication. The doctor may also ask for blood work to make sure you’re a suitable candidate for weight loss medication. Depending on your preexisting conditions, getting medication could take weeks.

Remedy Meds weight loss guarantee

If you’re on the fence about prescription weight loss medication, Remedy backs up its claims of effectiveness with a money-back guarantee. If you do not lose at least 10% of your body weight in four months, it will provide a refund. If you’re considering GLP-1 medication for weight loss, a money-back guarantee could help you have a bit more peace of mind.

Readily available GLP-1 medication with upfront pricing

With the rising popularity of GLP-1 medications for weight loss, many telehealth providers now offer compounded alternatives to brand-name drugs like Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro. Remedy Meds focuses exclusively on compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, which allows it to ship medication directly to your home without relying on pharmacy stock of brand-name options.

Unlike some platforms that obscure their pricing, Remedy Meds clearly states its monthly costs with no hidden fees or membership charges. The price also stays the same even if your dosage increases. At $299-$399 per month, Remedy Meds is significantly more affordable than brand-name GLP-1 medications, which can exceed $1,000 per month without insurance.

However, these compounded versions are not FDA-approved and may carry additional risks depending on where and how they’re made. It’s also worth noting that several other telehealth providers offer compounded GLP-1s at a lower price point than Remedy Meds, some starting under $100 per month (although availability of all compounded GLP-1 medications is unclear).

FDA Status of Compounded GLP-1 Medications

As of June 2025, the FDA has removed both semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) from its drug shortage list. This change means that compounding pharmacies are no longer permitted to produce compounded versions of these medications under the previous shortage allowances.

According to the FDA, compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, and the agency does not verify their safety, effectiveness or quality before they reach patients. The FDA has expressed concerns about compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, citing reports of dosing errors, contamination and adverse events requiring medical attention.

Remedy Meds continues to offer compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide through its telehealth platform. However, patients should be aware that these compounded medications are not FDA-approved and may carry risks associated with unverified dosing and quality. It’s crucial to consult with a healthcare provider to discuss the potential benefits and risks before starting any compounded medication.

We spoke to Megahan Garcia-Webb, MD, a triple board-certified physician specializing in obesity medicine and producer of the YouTube series Weight Medicine with Dr. Meghan. She cautioned against compounded GLP-1s, noting:

They bypass the standard precautions, and there is no guarantee they are safe, not to mention effective. There are many oral and injectable options now that are FDA-approved, so it’s best to stick with medications that have been assessed by the standard safety/efficacy channels.

Better Life Health Inc. owns Remedy Meds

As of June 2025, Remedy Meds lists Better Life Health Inc. as the owner, though little verifiable background is publicly available. We reached out to both for an interview but after more then three months did not hear back.

LegitScript Status

Remedy Meds is a verified telemedicine and pharmacy website through the LegitScript certification process. This ensures they comply with all applicable laws. Many payment service providers also require their telemedicine providers to have LegitScript certification.

Remedy Meds does not accept Insurance

While some telehealth providers accept insurance for GLP-1 medication, Remedy Meds makes it very clear that it does not. It is a direct out-of-pocket service that accepts all major credit cards and Apple Pay. However, this may benefit you if you’re in the market for weight loss medication. Insurance approval can take weeks, so being able to get medication shipped to your home in less than seven days is ideal. Also, insurance providers generally do not cover compounded GLP-1 medication.

Remedy Meds mystery shopper inquires show decent customer service

While GLP-1 weight loss medication is the main feature of Remedy Meds, the telehealth provider ensures continued support throughout your weight loss journey with unlimited video calls with its team of US-based doctors. Additionally, the GLP-1 prescriber also provides a help center with dozens of articles that can answer your questions. For general inquiries, Remedy Meds includes phone and email support.

Online experience

Remedy Meds’ website is easy to navigate. While other online GLP-1 prescribers offer multiple pages on their website, Remedy has the majority of its information on the home page—a refreshing change. This page provides basic information about the service, GLP-1 medication, patient testimonials and FAQs. Like most telehealth providers, Remedy Meds encourages you to complete its two-minute qualifying quiz.

Customer experience

During my mystery shopper calls, I got through to a customer service agent in less than two minutes. They were very helpful and answered all my questions thoroughly. When I emailed Remedy, they got back to me in less than 48 hours. However, the agent that replied to my email did not answer all my questions thoroughly.

Online reviews about Remedy Meds

While you should certainly take online reviews with a grain of salt, the expression “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” comes to mind. As of June 2025, Remedy Meds has several complaints on sites like Reddit and BBB, citing delayed shipping, poor refund communication and questions about medication effectiveness. However, some users report successful weight loss outcomes and responsive clinicians.

There are better online GLP-1 prescribers

If you’re looking for fast access to compounded GLP-1 medications, Remedy Meds offers a streamlined experience with upfront pricing, quick approvals and delivery within days. For patients paying out of pocket and seeking an alternative to expensive brand-name medications, the convenience may be appealing.

However, there are important factors to weigh. The FDA removed semaglutide and tirzepatide from its drug shortage list, which limits when and how these medications can be legally compounded. Compounded versions are not FDA-approved and may carry additional risks related to quality, dosing and safety.

While Remedy Meds may be a fit for some, it’s worth comparing your options. Other telehealth providers offer similar services at lower prices and with stronger reputations, as well as brand name Ozempic, Wegovy and others.
