Man Searches 19 Days for Stranger’s Lost Wedding Ring for a TOUCHING Reason
Would you spend 19 days searching for a complete stranger’s diamond ring? This man did–and you’ll love to hear why he did it.
Larry Royal, 65, is a member of an online directory for metal detecting specialists. Calling himself Larry the Ring Finder, the California father and grandfather says that his unique hobby has allowed him to find an average of 20 to 60 treasures per year. He doesn’t do it for profit or recognition, however; he just enjoys helping people get their valuables back.
And boy, are the people he helps grateful. Take the latest recipient of his goodwill, Rosa Pineda, who recently lost her diamond wedding ring while swimming in the Shell Beach area of Pismo Beach, CA with her husband, Rudy. They thought the ring was gone forever, and were devastated. But Pineda’s husband was able to get ahold of Royal, who hightailed it to Shell Beach to try and recover the bauble.
After a whopping 19 days, a miracle happened: He found it, his 38th one this year alone.
We love that Royal doesn’t pawn his finds or ever charge people for his services, though he does accept rewards–a good part of which he donates to charity each month.
The extreme gratitude of the Pineda family is palpable. Just watch:
