Pamela Anderson Just Revealed a Whole New Hair Style—And It’s Straight Out of the ’70s
How to get the stunning shaggy hairstyle that Pamela Anderson is bringing back
Pamela Anderson may have ruled the ’90s with her platinum blonde locks, but the actress, model and activist is bringing back the ’70s with an iconic style. Although you might know her best for her bright blonde hair, Anderson is proof that change is good, as her new hairstyle is stealing the show.
She first stunned fans worldwide when she traded in her golden tresses for a fiery red, but recently Anderson has changed the style, too. At Paris Fashion Week, which has been ongoing since September 29, she debuted the ’70s favorite shag haircut, one that nobody expected to see make a comeback.
“I’m just having fun and playing with it,” Anderson said of her new hair. “It’s gonna be different every day.”
But if anyone can bring back a renowned style that you thought was gone for good, it’s Pamela Anderson. See Anderson’s newest look and find out how to get the style for yourself!
Pamela Anderson’s shaggy new hair ‘do

Thanks to Parisian stylist John Nollet, Anderson has the new stunning haircut that fans are obsessing over. Nollet shared that Anderson changed up her hair for an upcoming film, Love is Not the Answer, and that he was inspired by the looks of French icons Isabelle Huppert, Bibi Andersson, Liv Ullmann, and Monica Bellucci.
But while fans were shocked by the transformation, Anderson knows that hair is just hair and she’s not afraid of a little change.
“I think people associate me with big blond hair, but if I look at my whole life, I’ve always been one to change up the way that I look,” Anderson said in a recent interview.
The world has been abuzz with talk of Anderson’s new look, so much so that it’s on the way to earning its own name: The Pamela. Similar to when Jennifer Aniston’s iconic Friends haircut debuted and launched ‘The Rachel,’ Anderson’s new hair is all the rage.
Why Pamela Anderson isn’t afraid of change
Pamela Anderson has been on a roll as a trend-setter in recent years, beginning with her no-makeup glamour in 2023 that has been the talk of the town. Now, with her new cropped hair, Anderson is shaking it up once more. The actress has been shying away from beauty norms that she may have followed once but not so much anymore.
“Your hair is another way to express yourself, and I’ve never been shy,” Anderson shared. “I guess I’m genetically blessed, but I’ve always had very thick, healthy hair. I do like to cut it to and style it differently. It’s freeing. I am a big lover of change; that’s what keeps us young and excited.”
Considering Anderson was once known and beloved for her iconic looks, it’s refreshing to see her make a statement and take her looks into her own hands.
How to get ‘The Pamela’ hairstyle
Although the bob has been an iconic cut for years and recently had a resurgence, Pamela’s look is a bit different, as it was a French-inspired style. Hairstylist Marcos Verissimo shared how you can snag that stunning hair and what to ask for at your next appointment.
The key to the bob is the “internal layers and texture [and regular trims]. The cut needs constant rebalancing so the weight of the hair doesn’t distort the shape,” Verissimo explained. “That’s what makes a bob something you can keep experimenting with.”
Make sure when you’re considering a bob that you take your own hair texture and density into consideration. Not every bob style will work for everyone, as we all have different hair. Verissimo also says that the neck is key, as a bob should enhance that.
And if you’re worried about committing to a shorter look, Verissimo says to think of it this way: “Don’t think of a bob as ‘one haircut’, think of it as a cut you can evolve. Start with something just above the shoulders, add internal texture, and play with styling.”
