From Hustle to Health: strada Flips the Script on Dubai’s Real Estate Culture
There seems to be no connection between real estate and wellness at first glance. After all, the market is known for high-stakes negotiations, a fast-paced environment, and success measured in numbers. strada, a Dubai-based real estate brokerage, has challenged this notion. Making wellness more than a corporate buzzword, it has embedded it into its operations while most companies pay lip service to work-life balance. The firm has introduced strada//fast, a department focused on health, fitness, and overall well-being.
When Managing Partners Chae Simons, Gary Allen, and Gino Cross established strada in 2022, they envisioned it to become more than just another property firm. They positioned it as a trusted partner that marries deep market insights and a fresh approach to real estate. Merge marketing expertise with a creative flair it did, as strada has been known for visual storytelling, strategic branding, and data-driven decision-making. Now, with the launch of strada//fast, the brokerage stands out further, driving its growth by prioritizing the well-being of those shaping its success.
strada//fast, led by breathwork specialist Melissa McAllister, intends to improve people’s performance by promoting physical fitness, mental resilience, and emotional well-being. It offers structured activities such as running clubs, meditation sessions, one-on-one coaching, and group workouts to not only strada’s employees but to the entire real estate sector in Dubai. This illustrates the firm’s dedication to nurturing a culture of well-being across the industry.
“Our overarching goal is to create a culture where professionals can thrive even if they don’t rely on unhealthy habits like overworking themselves or excessively drinking to socialize and build networks. strada//fast’s focus is on building community and encouraging teamwork,” says Simons.
Before strada//fast was launched in the fourth quarter of 2024, strada mirrored the high-intensity, fast-paced culture usually glorified in industries like real estate. The firm echoed the Wall Street “work hard, play hard” mentality. Socializing revolved around nightlife, and the pressure to perform was immense.
Dubai’s real estate market remains impressive, and agents constantly chase deals in an environment offering little room for rest. The industry’s high-pressure nature and the city’s culture of luxury created an ecosystem defined by stress, burnout, and unhealthy coping mechanisms. strada acknowledges this, hence its shift toward wellness.
Simons shares: “Before we onboarded Melissa, Gary, Gino, and I sat down for breathing sessions with her. We realized that if something as simple as breathwork could bring us this much focus, it had the power to transform our entire team. strada has always been about the people, and our growth in just two years proves the strength of our workforce.”
As the Head of strada//fast, McAllister brings a unique perspective to her work. The former professional dancer spent years performing in London, Morocco, and Malta before moving to Dubai. She faced severe body image pressures in the industry, however, which prompted her to turn to fitness to regain her confidence and self-worth. McAllister’s struggles made her passionate about helping others with their physical and mental health challenges. She became a certified personal trainer and now combines fitness, emotional healing, and mindset coaching to unlock the full potential of those she works with.
Since its foundation, strada//fast has changed the company’s culture. The intense, high-stress atmosphere has been replaced with an environment focusing on well-being, self-awareness, and performance through healthier means. Employees engage in structured fitness programs, mindfulness practices, and open conversations about stress management.
strada//fast has facilitated large-scale events held across Dubai to reach the broader real estate community. One of the first events took place at Chinawhite Sky Pool, a rooftop venue at the Radisson Resort Palm Jumeirah. Attendees gathered at 5 AM for a sunrise workout, followed by a guided stretching and meditation session. The morning concluded with a networking breakfast, creating a space for connection and conversation.

Another event was hosted on the beach. Participants engaged in a high-energy group workout before winding down with meditation. The setting allowed attendees to reflect on their personal and professional journeys. The most recent gathering was held in Tilal Al Ghaf, a community where strada operates extensively. It promoted wellness and served as an opportunity to engage potential buyers and sellers, merging health and business in an organic and meaningful way.
“Our events aren’t just a workout,” McAllister emphasizes. “What we’re giving is an experience. Joining us means taking on a journey because they’ll leave feeling like a completely different person.” strada//fast plans to expand its offerings as momentum builds, aiming to ensure that prioritizing wellness becomes the norm in Dubai’s real estate industry.
strada has always been committed to nurturing a positive work culture. This dedication was recognized at the Bayut Awards 2024, where strada was named Agency of the Year (Premium). The firm continues to demonstrate that by prioritizing health, mindset, and performance, a business can achieve extraordinary results, as shown by strada//fast.
