“True Beauty Starts Within”: How a Ukrainian Nail Artist Is Helping the Beauty Industry Heal from Burnout

The beauty world looks flawless on the surface. Polished salons, perfect nails, happy clients. But behind that glossy image often hides something deeper: emotional exhaustion, anxiety, and silent burnout.

Anastasiia Onopriichuk knows this reality all too well.

With over 12 years of experience as a top nail artist, salon owner, educator, and mental health advocate, Anastasiia has trained hundreds of professionals, developed original techniques, and built a successful beauty business in Ukraine. But it was her degree in psychology that truly set her apart.

“I’ve always believed that beauty starts within,” she says. “And yet, the professionals who create that beauty often neglect their own well-being.”

While managing her team, Anastasiia saw how emotional fatigue silently affected the most talented women. She realized that beauty industry professionals needed more than technical skills — they needed mental and emotional support. That insight led her to write a wellness manual for beauty specialists, offering tools to prevent burnout, improve communication with clients, and build healthier careers.

Now living in the U.S., Anastasiia is launching a groundbreaking online platform designed to support the mental health of manicurists, hairstylists, makeup artists, and estheticians across America. The platform will offer expert-led classes, resilience tools, and a safe community space focused on emotional well-being in the workplace.

“This isn’t just about self-care,” she explains. “It’s about helping women in beauty create emotionally sustainable careers, reconnect with their passion, and protect their inner resources.”

Anastasiia’s unique blend of psychological training and beauty expertise is already gaining recognition. She’s participated in international beauty events and collaborated with industry professionals who recognize the urgent need for mental wellness in the field.

Her goal is clear: to make emotional health as essential as cuticle oil or a steady hand.

“Behind every perfect manicure is a woman who gives a piece of herself to every client,” Anastasiia says. “I want her to know she’s not alone — and that she deserves to thrive, too.
