A New Stamp Honoring Betty White Will Be Released in 2025—Here’s How to Get This Collector’s Item
The television star's legacy lives on with a USPS Forever Stamp
Sending a letter to a loved one? Put your standard floral stamps back in the drawer. In 2025, the United States Postal Service is rolling out the perfect final touch for your snail mail—a stamp featuring none other than American television icon Betty White! The beloved actress, known for her work in series like The Golden Girls, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Hot in Cleveland and movies like The Proposal (2009) is being honored in the 2025 lineup of stamps being rolled out by the USPS.
All about the Betty White postage stamp
The commemorative stamp honors the long and illustrious career of the beloved actress, who died a few weeks short of her 100th birthday back in 2021. The stamp itself features a 2010 photograph of the actress taken by Kwaku Alston, wearing a blue top against a purple background. The stamp itself was designed by Greg Breeding, who serves as an art director for the United States Postal Service.
As stated on the USPS’s Stamps Forever site, “The Betty White stamp, sold on a pane of 20, features a digitally created portrait of the cherished star against a violet-colored background and, in a lighter shade, bubbly spots that befit her sparkling personality. She is portrayed wearing a polka-dotted blue top. ‘Betty White,’ is printed in white near the bottom of the stamp artwork. ‘FOREVER USA’ is printed just below, in violet. Her name also appears centered atop the white selvage, also in violet.”
What other stamps will be coming in 2025?
For 2025, Betty White is one of a few public figures being honored with a stamp. Musician Allen Toussaint will receive a stamp of his own as part of the USPS’s Black Heritage Series. Additionally, famed artist Keith Haring will have his work on display with the Love stamp. His 1985 Untitled piece of work will earn its spot amongst these exciting new additions.

Considering the legacy the actress left behind, we certainly imagine that the Betty White stamp will go on to be a highly coveted collector’s item.
