She also has her own imprint, Thousand Voices. Last year  she told First for Women she decided to launch the imprint because “Recommending books is my love language. Because the thing is…people love books, but what they really love is somebody saying, ‘Oh my gosh, you have to read this. It’s so good.'” Currently the imprint has nine books—all of which were hand picked by Jenna—and while all of them are excellent, these are our top five favorites.

Fans of The Hunger Games will devour Conform, the first book printed by Thousand Voices. What Jenna says: “It is a debut novel from an author who came into my life in a very special way. People have handed me books in every way imaginable, on the plaza, on the subway. But learning to get a book on a play date was a first for me ….This love triangle has two sides, Collin and Hal. My son’s name is Hal and Hal brought us together in so many ways.”

That transformative summer, Diana taught Ruth to see beauty through a lens and fall in love with life again. Ruth also fell for Diana’s nephew, Charlie. A decade later, tragedy strikes again, forcing Ruth to reconnect with Charlie and uncover Diana’s hidden past. A beautiful coming-of-age tale.

Slow-burn attraction and a second-chance romance take center stage in Anna McCallie’s debut novel.  When Abby McIntyre discovers her fiancé has been cheating, she does what any woman on the edge would do: quits her job, books a one-way ticket to the U.K. and refuses to look back. Landing in Liverpool with no plan and a broken heart, Abby somehow scores a dream job with the Mersey Football Club. That’s where she meets Lachlan Ramsey—the gorgeous Scottish star midfielder with a killer smile and a reputation for breaking hearts on and off the field. As professional boundaries blur and undeniable chemistry builds, Abby must decide: Is she ready to risk her heart again, or will the obstacles between them prove too much to overcome?

What Jenna says: “If you’re into Off Campus or Heated Rivalry like I am—44-year-old mother of three—Abby Offsides is gonna scratch some itches, if you know what I mean.”

What readers are saying: “Run to grab your copy of Abby Offsides. It’s an outstanding book…and perfect to bring along on your vacation or trip to the beach or pool this summer.”

‘Liar’s Dice’ by Juliet Faithfull

Liars Dice by Juliet Faithfull
Thousand Voices

Set against the backdrop of 1970s Brazil, this haunting novel explores the unbreakable bond between twin sisters. Dolores and Mita are inseparable, two halves of the same whole, until the day Mita falls ill with a mysterious sickness. Their parents send her away to recuperate at their father’s remote countryside farm, promising she’ll return soon. But she never does. When Dolores’ family relocates to Rio, something shifts. No one speaks Mita’s name anymore. Dolores begins to ask questions—dangerous questions her family refuses to answer. What really happened to her sister? Why is everyone pretending she never existed? As Dolores digs deeper into her family’s carefully guarded secrets, she uncovers a truth more devastating than she ever imagined.

What Jenna says: “When I started Thousand Voices, I found myself searching for a love letter to twin relationships [Jenna herself is a twin]. I know how specific that is, but when Liar’s Dice came across my desk, it felt like something I had manifested…A tribute to Juliet’s own twin sister, this novel is a meditation on sisterhood and hope, two things I turn to when I want to feel better about the world.”

What readers are saying: “A masterful multilayered story, Liar’s Dice will stay with you long after you turn the last page. It’s a remarkable feat, beautifully written, with rich, complex characters, and a propulsive storyline.”
