Though the “King of Rock and Roll” died in 1977, his legacy lives on thanks to his family. This is especially true with his former wife, Priscilla, who has continued to be in the public spotlight since the duo separated in the 1970s. Though she has her own career full of film projects and business endeavors, many people have wondered how she has fared financially since the divorce more than 40 years ago. Keep reading to learn how Priscilla Presley’s financial success has contributed to her net worth and where she currently stands with the Graceland estate

Priscilla Presley’s early life with Elvis

On May 1, 1967, 32-year-old Elvis and 21-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu tied the knot in a small Las Vegas ceremony. Just six years later, the couple divorced, but reportedly remained good friends.

As part of the legal split, Priscilla was granted some financial security, according to Biography.com. This included a one-time payment of $725,000, spousal support, 5 percent of her ex-husband’s royalties and half the profit from the sale of their Beverly Hills home.

She also began receiving child support for their daughter and only child, Lisa Marie Presley, who was born in 1968. The youngster was just four years old when her parents separated.

The divorce agreement meant that Priscilla was pretty well-off financially, thanks to Elvis’ continuing success—even without bringing an income of her own. However, she decided to stay in the public eye and continue with a career in show business.

How acting boosted her wealth

Priscilla’s best-known accomplishments in the entertainment industry are her roles on a popular television series and film franchise. In 1983, she joined the drama Dallas as Jenna Wade, a role originally played by Morgan Fairchild. The primetime soap opera was incredibly successful, drawing in more than 33 million viewers each week until the series finale.

After several seasons on the show, Priscilla left in 1988 and quickly dabbled in film. She went on to star in all three movies of the original Naked Gun franchise, which were also a hit. In fact, the original 1988 film did so well at the box office that it led to two sequels.

Her IMdb also shows that her resume includes some behind-the-scenes work too. She’s produced more than 10 different projects since the ‘80s (many autobiographical or about her ex-husband), suggesting she has had substantial financial success.

Bestselling Books and Hollywood deals

In 1985, Priscilla released her memoir, Elvis and Me, which detailed the intimate relationship she had with the iconic singer. Unsurprisingly, the book was a huge hit and the hardcover allegedly spent months as a New York Times best-seller. It also has sold more than 800,000 print copies.

Many news outlets have shared in the past that she received a large advance payment for writing the book, and has continued to earn royalties since.

The popularity of the memoir’s release eventually led to a 1988 film by the same name, which meant Priscilla increased her net worth even more.

Business ventures beyond showbiz

Not all of her endeavors were related to Hollywood, however. From 1973 to 1979, Priscilla partnered with designer Olivia Bis to open a boutique in Beverly Hills called Bis & Beau. It was known for its bohemian clothing options and uniquely designed denim, and was frequently patronized by celebrities like Cher and Liza Minelli.

The store closed due to declining sales and Presley’s desire to get into acting, but it wasn’t the last of her business ventures. In 1988, she released her first fragrance (Moments) under the brand name Priscilla Presley. (Some of the fragrances are still available on Amazon today to buy).

According to Biography.com, she has also released luxury linens and skincare products in the past.

The complicated Graceland legacy

Graceland, Elvis’ famous 13.8-acre estate in Memphis, Tennessee, was purchased for $102,500 in 1957. NPR reports that in 2020 the estate was estimated to be worth between $400 million and $500 million, so its value has almost certainly increased since then.

But Priscilla has a complicated history with the property. Two years after Elvis’ death in 1977, she began making $1 million a year from turning the estate into a tourist attraction. Nearly 20 years later, daughter Lisa Marie became the owner in 1997 at the age of 25 when she took control of her inheritance.

After Lisa Marie’s passing in 2023, a lengthy legal dispute led to Danielle Riley Keough (Elvis and Priscilla’s granddaughter) becoming the new Graceland owner. Now, a new $50 million civil lawsuit alleges that Priscilla ignored the signs that her daughter, Lisa Marie, was at risk of dying in an attempt to regain control of the property.

The lawsuit, which was filed by two former business partners, claims that Priscilla dismissed her daughter’s health issues at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards days before she died of cardiac arrest at the age of 54. The plaintiffs (who are also suing her for fraud) allege that the carelessness was an attempt to “regain control over Elvis Presley’s legacy and assets.”

However, People reports that Keough stands with her grandmother and is disturbed by the lawsuit. Though she is the sole heir of her mom’s trust and official owner of the estate, there doesn’t seem to be any further family issues regarding the Graceland property.

Priscilla Presley’s net worth in 2025

With her long career and ties to the Presley family fortune, many have wondered just how much Priscilla is worth now in 2025. Unfortunately, the information has not been made public, but many websites estimate her net worth to be anywhere between $10 million and $50 million.

Even at the age of 80, she continues to delight Elvis fans with details of their lives together and still gives interviews. She also has upcoming speaking arrangements scheduled this fall to promote her new book, Life After Elvis. If the book is yet another hit for Priscilla, her net worth will surely grow once again.
