Lisa Marie Presley, the sole daughter of the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, lived a life of love, loss and multiple marriages. Spending the majority of her life in the spotlight, she had romances with some of the biggest stars, including the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and actor Nicolas Cage.
Lisa Marie Presley sadly died on January 12, 2023, at the age of 54, a loss which was mourned by each of her husbands. Get to know about the loves of Lisa Marie Presley’s life and learn about their relationships.
Danny Keough

Lisa Marie Presley met her first husband, musician Danny Keough, in 1985 when she was only 17 years old. Three years later, on October 3, 1988, Presley and Keough decided to take the plunge and become husband and wife. She was a mere 20 years old, while Keough was 24. Presley’s mother, Priscilla, shared a statement following the couple’s engagement.
“I am thrilled for Lisa Marie. Danny is a great guy, and I couldn’t be happier for the two of them,” Priscilla Presley shared.

It wasn’t long after their ceremony that Presley and Keough announced they were expecting their first child together, and their daughter Danielle Riley Keough, who goes by Riley Keough, was born on May 29, 1989. Just over three years later, the couple’s child, Benjamin Storm Presley Keough, was born on October 21, 1992. He sadly died by suicide in 2020 at age 27.
In 1994, after five and a half years of marriage, Presley and Keough decided to split up. The two, however, remained good friends over the years.
Michael Jackson

As the daughter of Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie had more run-ins with musicians and celebrities than the average kid. The singer actually met her second husband, Michael Jackson, when she was a mere six years old, as the Jackson 5 were performing at a show near where her father was performing, though Lisa Marie doesn’t remember it.
Years later in 1993, the two reconnected while she was still married to her first husband, and Jackson admitted his feelings for her. She shared the instance and her feelings on the matter in her book From Here To The Great Unknown, which was published posthumously.

Presley shared that she, too, had been in love with Jackson. Following her divorce from Keough, Presley and Jackson tied the knot, marrying 20 days later in a private ceremony in the Dominican Republic. However, their marriage only lasted two years, as they divorced in 1996.
In 2010, Presley opened up about their marriage, explaining it was normal in the beginning, but that it changed over time.
“The one thing that correlates with Michael and with my father on this subject is that they had the luxury of creating whatever reality around them they wanted to create,” Presley said. “They could have the kinds of people who were going to go with their program or not go with their program. If they weren’t, then they could be disposed of.”
The former couple remained good friends following their breakup until Jackson’s death in 2009.
John Oszajca

Although Presley never married him, the singer was briefly engaged to singer-songwriter John Oszajca. The couple met through mutual friends in Los Angeles in 1999 and Oszajca proposed on Christmas that same year. They remained engaged for 16 months, but ultimately called it quits.
Nicolas Cage

Only a month after her engagement with Oszajca ended, Presley and Nicolas Cage went public with their relationship in May 2001. They had first met in October 2000 at a birthday party for Johnny Ramone of the Ramones.
The two were together until February 2002 when they briefly split up, but eventually reconciled and decided to get married. Cage and Presley had an intimate ceremony in August 2002, but their union didn’t last very long, as they separated in November 2002.
“I’m sad about this, but we shouldn’t have been married in the first place,” Presley said in a statement. Their divorce was finalized in May 2004.
Michael Lockwood

Lisa Marie Presley’s fourth and final husband, music producer Michael Lockwood, came into her life in 2003 when the two began dating. After three years, Presley and Lockwood exchanged vows on January 22, 2006, in a small ceremony in Japan. At the time, Presley opened up about her relationship with Lockwood.
“I could envision spending the rest of my life with him, easily,” Presley said. “I just had this idea we would be perfect together. And I don’t think I realized how right I was when I thought that. We’re together 24/7. We do everything together. I’ve never had a relationship like this before.”
The couple welcomed two children together during their marriage, twin daughters Finley and Harper, on October 7, 2008. In 2016, after being married for a decade, Presley filed for divorce and the two entered into a difficult legal battle over custody. During their legal woes, Priscilla was the main caretaker of the twins. Presley and Lockwood’s divorce was finalized in 2021.
