Lindsie Chrisley ‘Can’t Remember’ the Last Time She Visited Her Dad—Inside Their Tense Relationship
The reality star reveals why she hasn't seen Todd in prison—and why it’s so strained between them
Over the years, the relationship between Todd Chrisley, who led the hit reality TV series Chrisley Knows Best, and his eldest daughter Lindsie Chrisley has been rocky. Todd had Lindsie and her brother Kyle with his first wife, and his family grew when he married his current wife Julie Chrisley, with whom he welcomed Savannah, Chase and Grayson, as well as adopted Kyle’s daughter Chloe. In 2022, however, Todd and Julie were hit with charges for tax evasion and bank fraud, landing them both in prison for the next several years. While most of the Chrisley kids are on good terms with their parents, visiting them at their facilities and staying in close contact, Lindsie recently revealed on an episode of her podcast, Southern Tea, that she can’t remember the last time she saw her father and has yet to visit her step-mom, Julie.
Here, everything we know about Lindsie, Todd and Julie’s strained relationship—plus, the allegations made against Lindsie over the years regarding her parents’ arrest.

Lindsie Chrisley’s strained relationship with Todd
Over the years, Todd and Lindsie’s relationship has had its ups and downs. Though they were said to have made amends in 2022, Lindsie’s big reveal on her podcast showed that things might not be in a great place between the two. “The last time I visited my dad probably was…was it the beginning of last year?” she pondered. “I can’t even honestly remember.”
“[Nanny Faye and I] used to go together when they first went [to prison],” she continued. “It was just like, a more comfortable situation for both of us to go and stay in a hotel together. I have never been to Lexington to visit Julie.” Lindsie concluded the bombshell reveal by saying, “I have not seen my dad in quite some time, and I have had no contact. And that’s all I’m going to say for that.”

Inside Todd and Lindsie Chrisley’s complicated relationship
While this news may have shocked some, this isn’t the first time that Lindsie has come out and shared some of the details regarding her relationship with her family. In 2024, Chase, Savannah and Grayson Chrisley, as well as Nanny Faye, attended Todd and Julie’s public appeals hearing—and Lindsie shared that her sister Savannah asked her not to attend.
“My sister privately let the message get to us that she did not want us present at the hearing. And it was shared with me that if we were there, there would be issues and that we would be asked to leave,” she had said on Southern Tea. “It’s mind-blowing to me, the control and manipulation. It very much alarms me and I’m just going to leave it at that.” Savannah, in response to this, did not deny these claims. She took to Instagram to confirm them, claiming that her dad specifically did not want Lindsie to attend, nor did he wish to have a relationship with her.

Did Lindsie Chrisley work with the government to land her parents in prison?
Also in the videos Savannah shared to her Instagram story in the wake of Lindie’s podcast where she talked about the appeal, she referenced her older sister’s “involvement with the government.” “She had involvement and she has threatened to sue me, that’s fine, because there’s nothing that I’m saying that cannot be backed up via the court records. The FBI read off a letter Lindsie wrote to them in court, so yes, she’s correct. I didn’t want her to attend.”
As reported by Business Insider in 2022, when Lindsie was testifying in her father’s case, prosecutors entered “emails into evidence that show she reached out to the FBI after her father’s indictment begging for their assistance in getting a restraining order against him.”
