For those who have followed Donnie Wahlberg from the very beginning of his career to his most recent stint on Boston Blue, you know that the actor and singer has been quite busy over the years. As a founding member of the popular boy band New Kids on the Block that emerged in the late 1980s, Wahlberg has been in the public eye ever since he was just 15 years old, followed by several successful acting roles and a role in his brother’s restaurant. So, it will be no surprise to learn that Wahlberg’s net worth is higher than you might think. Here, we break it down!

What is Donnie Wahlberg’s net worth?

After 40 years in the spotlight, it’s not a surprise that the actor and singer is worth a lot. With a hand in several different projects, both on-screen and off, Wahlberg is worth a whopping $25 million!

Thanks to his starring role as Detective Danny Reagan on both Blue Bloods and Boston Blue, as well as his co-owning of the restaurant chain, Wahlburgers and his role in New Kids on the Block, which still tour on occasion, Wahlberg has earned some money over the years. Get an inside look at the different aspects of his $25 million net worth.

Donnie and Jenny’s home

The actor, who has been married to tv personality Jenny McCarthy since 2014, shares a beautiful home with his wife in St. Charles, Illinois. The 5-bedroom, 1.1 acre estate was purchased by the couple in 2015 for $1.1 million and is their primary family home.

The location has several fun features including a 56-foot waterslide, a private nature trail, a golf green and McCarthy’s secret sewing room, which has custom made Louis Vuitton doors.

Wahlberg and McCarthy shared an inside look of their home with People in 2019, which allowed fans a view of their stunning digs.

Wahlberg’s ‘Blue Bloods’ years

After 14 years on Blue Bloods, it’s clear that a significant portion of Wahlberg’s net worth came from his time on the series. With 293 episodes under his belt, as well as the addition of Boston Blue, the actor certainly earned his salary.

Wahlberg reportedly earned $150,000 per episode by the end of the series. His salary began at $60,000 per episode but over the years and with the show’s massive success, that number grew exponentially. In the final season, due to budget constraints, Wahlberg and his other cast members received a 25% pay cut, making his salary $125,000 per episode.

Wahlberg offered to cut his own ‘Boston Blue’ salary

While the official salary numbers for Boston Blue aren’t publicly available, the actor did recently get the attention of fans as he shared some insight onto the making of the series. While the series is set in Boston, it is primarily filmed in Toronto, something Wahlberg didn’t love at first.

“[The producers said] ‘But we can’t afford to shoot it in Boston, we’re gonna shoot it in Toronto,’” Wahlberg recalled. “I was like, ‘No, no.’ So, I said, ‘Listen, I’ll give back 50% of my paycheck if we can go to Boston.’ I did. And they said, ‘You can give back 100% and so can the rest of the cast, we cannot film this show in Boston.’ It’s so expensive. For the most part, we shoot in Toronto.”

Wahlberg did eventually realize that filming in Boston wouldn’t be possible, as the constant noise of the city made that difficult. He added, “Literally in the background of a scene you hear, ‘Oh my God, there’s Donnie Wahlberg right over there on the corner. I grew up near Donnie. Everybody get your cameras out!’”

While Wahlberg’s salary is unknown for Boston Blue, it seems he didn’t have to take that 50% pay cut after all, as the series is currently in production in Toronto. Keep watching the police procedural on CBS and Paramount+!
