All about ‘An Accidental Arctic Christmas’

In An Accidental Arctic Christmas, Mathison takes the lead as Jim, a former professional baseball player turned broadcaster who spends every Christmas Eve in Times Square hosting his annual show. Each holiday season, he and his 20-year-old daughter, Isla (Maya Rose Skabar), alternate deciding what their Christmas plans will be, and when she proposes the Arctic cruise of a lifetime, she promises they’ll make it back in time for his big broadcast. Things take a turn, however, when a timing mishap leaves them stuck in an arctic town after their ship sets sail without them on board. With no form of transportation available to bring them back to their home base, they find comfort in Jane (Jill Wagner), a wildlife conservationist who helps them navigate this unfamiliar territory. What begins as an unexpected mix-up eventually evolves into a journey full of wonder as they take in all the Arctic has to offer.

“This story reminds us that the best gifts in life aren’t always the ones we plan for,” shared Candace Cameron Bure. “Sometimes you miss your boat, literally, and end up exactly where you’re supposed to be.”
