But first, what is ‘Love Me Love Me’ about?

According to Prime Video’s official logline, the story follows a main character named June. “After her brother’s death, June moves to Milan for a fresh start and enrolls at an elite international school, where she finds comfort in dating Will, the school’s perfect honor student. But her fragile stability is shaken by a volatile rivalry with his best friend James—a charismatic, troubled boy hiding a dangerous life in clandestine MMA fights—turning resentment into irresistible attraction and forcing June to choose between safety and a love that challenges everything she thought she wanted.”

Meet the cast of ‘Love Me Love Me’
The character at the center of all the drama in Love Me Love Me is June, played by British actress Mia Jenkins. You might know Jenkins from her previous roles as Alex on Disney’s The Lodge and Emma in Soy Luna. More recently, she appeared in Netflix’s Geek Girl.
The two suitors intertwined in this slow-burn love triangle: Will (Luca Melucci) and James (Pepe Barroso). Barroso is an Italian actor who has previously appeared in various films, including Netflix’s High Seas (Alta Mare).

And Maxton Hall fans will be delighted to see Andrea Guo—who fans know as Ruby’s BFF Lin Wang—on their screens. In Love Me Love Me, Guo plays the part of fellow classmate Amelia.

Behind-the-scenes updates: screenwriters, producers and more
Taking beloved stories from page to screen is a tricky feat. You have legions of dedicated fans waiting to see their favorite characters come to life. They already have certain connections to characters, settings and plots. But Love Me Love Me is in seemingly good hands with Roger Kumble at the helm.
The director and screenwriter made his feature-film-directorial debut in 1999 with Cruel Intentions, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon. “My film school education was I worked in a video store. And so, I saw everything and when I made this movie, I said I want to make it so you can’t put this in an aisle, a genre,” Krumble said in an interview with Forbes. “It’s not a drama, it’s not a comedy, it’s not anything. That’s where I thought it would stand the test of time. It’s impossible [to label]—it really is.”

More recently, Kumble worked on three book-to-screen adaptations in a row. In 2020, he directed After We Collided—based on Anna Todd’s viral book series—as well as BookTok hits Beautiful Disaster and Beautiful Wedding.
Love Me Love Me is being produced by Lotus Production & Amazon MGM Studios, with support from WEBTOON Productions.
