The upcoming film is titled Cheesesteak. In production as an Apple Original Film, Cheesesteak is being directed by Stephen Chbosky, author of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, who also wrote and directed the 2012 film adaptation.

Starring in the film is none other than Mark Wahlberg, known best for his roles in Boogie Nights (1997), Ted (2012) and Daddy’s Home (2015). Weekend Warriors is a remake of the 2023 German film Weekend Rebels, inspired by a true story about a father who takes his autistic son to visit every Premier League Soccer stadium. This film will also star The Conjuring’s Vera Farmiga, as well as 12-year-old child actor Indie DesRoches.
