7. The Marvels (2023)

In the latest installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), is forced to team up with Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) to help save the universe from the remains of the Kree dynasty. Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton, and Lashana Lynch also appear.

6. Elemental (2023): New Disney movies

In this star-crossed lovers story, Wade (a man made out of water) joins forces with Ember (a woman of fire) to try to save Ember’s family shop from closing. It takes place in a town where fire, water, land, and air residents all live together, and Ember’s family story is based on how people used to immigrate to the United States through Ellis Island. Leah Lewis voices Ember and Mamoudou Athie voices Wade.

5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)

Be prepared to laugh and cry in the third installment of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy series. After someone from Rocket’s (Bradley Cooper) past comes back to haunt him, he must rely on the other Guardians to help him through it — and prevent it from happening to others. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Will Poulter, Karen Gillian and Vin Diesel (as the voice of Groot) also appear in this epic superhero film.

4. Wish (2023): New Disney movies

Meet Asha (Ariana DeBose), Disney’s latest princess. After making a wish, Asha gets stuck with a little ball of boundless energy called Star. But it turns out Star might be the key to defeating the evil King of Rosas, Magnifico (Chris Pine). What follows is a battle of bravery, bold moves and brains.

3. Haunted Mansion (2023)

Jared Leto, Rosario Dawson, LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Danny Devito, Owen Wilson, Winona Ryder, Dan Levy and Jamie Lee Curtis all star in this horror/comedy epic. After learning that her house is haunted by ghosts, single mom Gabbie (Dawson) hires a tour guide, a psychic, a priest and a historian to come and help get rid of all the demons. Fans of the Disney World ride Haunted Mansion will love this one.

2. The Little Mermaid (2023): New Disney movies

The live-action version of the classic cartoon follows Ariel (Halle Bailey), a free-spirited mermaid who has a craving for adventure and danger — much to her father, King Triton’s (Javier Bardem), dismay. But after Ariel saves Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King) from drowning, she sets off on her most treacherous adventure yet — trying to win over his heart. Melissa McCarthy, Daveed Diggs, Awkwafina and Simone Ashley are also in this fantastic musical.

1. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) (2024)

You’ll be singing and dancing on your couch while you watch Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version). The concert film features footage from Taylor’s three recent live shows in Los Angeles and takes her fans, known as Swifties, on a musical journey that includes songs from each of the 10 albums over her 17-year career. The movie also includes some “secret songs,” such as “I Can See You,” “Our Song,” “You Are in Love” and “Death By A Thousand Cuts.” On top of that, the end credits feature some fun concert bloopers from past shows.

Releasing early this summer is the much-anticipated sequel to the 2015 hit movie Inside Out. In the second installment, Joy (Amy Poehler), Anger (Lewis Black), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Disgust (Liza Lapira) and Fear (Tony Hale) must figure out how to cope when several new emotions show up in Riley’s mind. With loveable characters and relatable problems, it’s sure to be this summer’s hit blockbuster film.
