Time stopped on July 19th for Christian musician Forrest Frank’s 4.8 million Instagram followers when he shared the bone-chilling video of the fall that broke his back. Caught on video, Frank tried to remain calm, but he immediately knew something was wrong.

His doctors soon delivered the grim diagnosis — he had fractured the L3 and L4 vertebrae in his back. Regardless of the pain, Frank held tightly to his faith. As he began documenting his journey on Instagram, prayers came flooding in from millions of people around the globe.

It wasn’t easy. He remembers people asking skeptically, “Will you ever be the same?” But he pressed on. “They may doubt, but I know God’s healing hands are on me,” he shared quietly in a moment of reflection.

Even when he was down, Forrest picked up his recording equipment and continued writing songs. He lay horizontal in his bed while writing “God’s God My Back.” He spent the majority of his days resting, praying and listening to music.

Then, history was made when Forrest happened upon a video from The Figs, where they challenged themselves to write a song like Forrest Frank, and penned “Lemonade.”

The song’s bright, feel-good energy and heartfelt lyrics immediately struck a chord with Forrest, lifting his spirits — even in the pain he was suffering through. Inspired, he decided to record his own version, pouring his personal journey and faith into every note. That spontaneous session became more than just a cover — it was a deeply personal expression of hope and joy that resonated with fans worldwide.

Lemonade” went on to become a testament to his resiliency, and soared to #1 on the music charts — in all categories — and hit 3 million streams worldwide. Forrest felt awed: “Only God,” he said later, “could take something broken and make it number one across the board.”

Forrest Frank’s miracle in the making

On Day 14 of his recovery, Forrest shocked fans by posting yet another video explaining that he had just woken up and forgot to put on his back brace. As he began his morning routine, he suddenly realized that he was feeling no more pain. His doctor ordered an urgent X-ray, which confirmed his back was completely healed.

How Forrest Frank says God healed his back

Frank had been set to perform at the Iowa State Fair, and he went through with the performance to proclaim God’s healing touch on his back with a triumphant voice. Fans got to watch as he jumped, dance, worshipped and sang his heart out — as if his back had never been broken at all. “I’m healed,” he said mid-song, “not by clinics alone, but by grace.” Cheers erupted!

Energized by his miracle, Forrest penned another song, “Selah” and released it to the public just hours after his performance at the Iowa State Fair. The new hit chronicles his faith journey and urges listeners to pause, listen, rest and reflect — exactly what God taught him during his injury and healing.

His healing is a modern-day miracle that brought the masses together in prayer and remains a catalyst of hope for millions.
