Sam Elliott, Andy Garcia and More ‘Landman’ Guest Stars Share What Drew Them to Taylor Sheridan’s Show
These Hollywood legends share what made joining ‘Landman’ such an irresistible opportunity for them
Taylor Sheridan’s hit Texas drama Landman might be centered around the dramatic Norris family, but that hasn’t stopped some of the side characters from truly shining. And to make matters even better, several of those characters were played by stars themselves! Below, we break down the top Landman guest stars and share how they really felt about spending time in The Patch.
Stefania Spampinato

Appearing in Season 2, Stefania Spampinato plays Bella, the wife of Andy Garcia’s Gallino. Currently, she’s been in four episodes total, and it’s unclear if she will be in Season 3. Even so, the actress has loved her time on Landman, writing on Instagram, “The excitement is so real!”
Prior to Landman, Spampinato was best known for her role as Dr. Carina DeLuca in Grey’s Anatomy (2017 to 2024) and Station 19 (2020 to 2024). She’s 43-years-old and originally from Catania, Italy.
Andy Garcia

Speaking of Garcia, prior to becoming a full-time cast member in Season 2, he was considered a guest star in Season 1. He plays a cartel boss named Calino, and prior to joining the Sheridan show he was in The Godfather Part III (1990), Ocean’s Eleven (2001), Ghostbusters (2016), Ballers (2016), Geostorm (2017), Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018) and Long Gone Heroes (2024).
“When he [Sheridan] approached me, he hadn’t written the part yet,” Garcia told Variety in November of 2025. “He met with me and said, ‘I’d like to create this part for you.’ He was a fan of a movie I did many years ago called Eight Million Ways to Die, and I played this crazy young drug guy, and he killed people.”
“Not so much like Gallino, but maybe it’s Gallino when he was 18. I think he writes to people. He said to Billy Bob [Thornton], ‘I’m going to write this character in your voice,” the actor continued. “He wrote Sam Elliott’s character in his voice. I think he understood it based on the work he had seen me do over the years, and what he had felt was my voice, my persona.”
Garcia is 69-years old and has been married to his wife, Marivi Lorido Garci,a since 1982. They have four children together.
Guy Burnet

Guy Burnet’s character Charlie Newsom was introduced to viewers in Season 2 of Landman. He serves as a love interest for Rebecca Falcone (Kayla Wallace) and prior to joining the show, Burnet was in Hollyoaks (2002 to 2011), Chicago Fire (2016), Pitch Perfect 3 (2017) and Oppenheimer (2023).
“He’s (Charlie) got this energy that is so opposite from the way she is, and especially in that situation, when they hop on the plane, and her anxiety starts to ramp up, he’s the cool cucumber that she needs and he’s sitting right there,” Wallace told Variety of the storyline in December of 2025. “It’s pretty funny that these two opposites are placed right next to each other and experiencing what Rebecca thinks is a disaster. For him, it’s just another day on the job.”
“It’s a very uncomfortable situation for her, but she’s so strong that she can handle it,” she continued. “With Rebecca, for all of her career, she has had success at the very top of any priority over anything in her life. When she lets her guard down and ends up in this situation, it’s a bit jarring for her. It’s so much fun because you get to explore these new sides of her. ‘How would she react in this situation?’ As an actor, getting to play these vulnerable sides to her is a lot of fun as well, because it makes her more human.”
Burnet is 42-years-old and originally from London, United Kingdom.
Sam Elliott

Cast member or guest star aside, Sam Elliott is stealing hearts as Tommy’s (Billy Bob Thornton) father in Season 2 of Landman. Prior to that, he was in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), Frogs (1972), Lifeguard (1976), Mask (1985), We Were Soldiers (2002), A Star is Born (2018) and 1883 (2021). He’s 81-years-old and has been married to Katharine Ross since 1984.
“[Landman’s] got humor. It’s got drama. It’s got reality. It’s got Taylor Sheridan all over it. Taylor tells the truth, and he knows a lot of things and he knows about different subjects that will interest people,” Elliott told Woman’s World earlier this year. “It’s just well-written and well-grounded stuff. There’s a gifted bunch of people that have the opportunity to say Taylor’s words and I think it’s a lot of fun for the audience.”
