Krispy Kreme is giving away doughnuts for World Kindness Day

Krispy Kreme loves a freebie. On November 11, Krispy Kreme announced that they would give away even more free doughnuts in honor of World Kindness Day, which falls on November 13.

“Here at Krispy Kreme, we love to share kindness and joy,” the company said in a statement. For World Kindness Day this year, the brand is spreading its generosity by giving the first 500 guests who visit each participating shop across the U.S. a free Original Glazed dozen.

You can snag a box of 12 by drive-thru or in-store; no purchase is necessary to partake in the promotion. “Let’s make the world a kinder and sweeter place, one doughnut at a time!”

Not all Krispy Kreme locations are participating in this promotion. To find one close to you, simply visit Krispy Kreme’s website and go to offers. From there, you can enter your city, state and/or zip code, but if your preferred shop doesn’t show up, they aren’t participating.

To get your free doughnuts, you must visit the store in person. Online orders will not be accepted since the number of free dozens is limited. Krispy Kreme is excited to partake in World Kindness Day and hopes people will be inspired to share their box of doughnuts with friends, family or colleagues.

“World Kindness Day is a reminder that we can all make a positive impact in people’s lives, including through small gestures like sharing a sweet treat,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme Global Chief Brand Officer in a press release. “We hope that each dozen Original Glazed doughnuts we give away enables and inspires many dozens of small acts of kindness.”

Krispy Kreme is also encouraging its customers to share their doughnuts and their own acts of kindness on social media using the hashtag #KrispyKreme or tagging the brand @KrispyKreme.

Every year on November 13, people come together to celebrate World Kindness Day—”a global reminder of how small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect that strengthens our connections to one another,” according to Random Acts of Kindness.

This observance was introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, a coalition of nations’ kindness non-profit organizations, and it is observed in many countries.

World Kindness Day aims to highlight good deeds in your communities and focus on the positive impact being nice has on one another.

How people are celebrating World Kindness Day

Besides spreading the joy through Krispy Kreme doughnuts, people have also taken to social media to share their positivity with others.

Action for Happiness (@actionforhappiness) wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter, “Today is World Kindness Day. Be kind to others. Be kind to yourself. And remember people are often going through things we can’t see.”

Another user wrote, “Today is World Kindness Day. A reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big impact. Whether it’s a smile, a kind word or lending a hand, let’s spread a little more light and love today. You never know how much it could mean to someone.”

Whether you grab a box of doughnuts, tell someone you’re grateful for them or do something else to bring about joy, today is all about focusing on kindness.
