On October 10, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released an announcement indicating that Ben’s Original had issued a voluntary recall of a wide array of products. According to the announcement, the company warned consumers that their Ben’s Original Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown and Long Grain & Wild Ready Rice products potentially contained small stones, which likely entered the production process from the farm from which the rice came.

Which Ben’s Original products are recalled?
The retailers who sold these products include HEB, Target, United Markets, Amazon and Piggly Wiggly, according to the announcement, but the brand warns that the risk isn’t just limited to these stores, as “additional retailers may have purchased products distributed by Associated Grocers, C&S and Dot Foods from August through September.” To find out if your Ready Rice has been affected, check the bottom seal of your package for the following batch codes and best by dates:
