Corn Dog Recall: Everything to know
The Hillshire Brands Company corn dog recall is major and affects dozens of products rolled out by the company. Hillshire Brands packaged the affected products between March 17, 2025 and September 26, 2025 and the situation came to light after several customer complaints highlighted an issue. Five customers suffered injuries from these contaminated products, according to the USDA’s Statement, and further investigation into the matter revealed that the wooden sticks “entered the production process prior to battering.” The result? Wood pieces were embedded in the batter of these products, contaminating all 58 million pounds.

Products part of this recall will have an establishment number that reads “EST-582” or “P-894.” Dozens of products distributed by the Hillshire Brands Company have been recalled, including popular sellers such as the State Fair Classic Corn Dogs, State Fair Beef Hot Dogs Wrapped In a Honey Sweetened Batter, Jimmy Dean Original Pancake & Turkey Sausage on a Stick and several other variations.
