  • Each collection is inspired by nostalgic themes and aesthetics of the past.
  • On June 26, you can shop two collections, while the remaining four launch on July 17.

In a world dominated by technology that only grows more and more fast-paced by the day, people are craving the comforting nostalgia of the past. And this year, Michaels is tapping into that with their fresh new lineup of Halloween decor.

“Halloween has always been about revisiting the traditions, stories and rituals that make the season feel magical year after year,” said Michaels’ Chief Merchandising Officer Stacey Shively. “As consumers continue embracing analog living, we’re seeing renewed interest in the nostalgic aesthetics of past generations. As the destination for creating and celebrating, we designed this year’s assortment as a Halloween rewind—bringing together throwback décor, hands-on creativity and party essentials to help customers reimagine those classics for today’s home.”

This spooky season, indulge in six distinct collections, rolling out in two phases, that reflect specific aesthetics and imagery reminiscent of days gone by.

Michaels’ Bound by Magic CollectionThe Bound by Magic Collection taps into all things mystical. Think fortune tellers, tarot cards and magicians, with an aesthetic defined by celestial imagery, zodiac signs and more.

The Mischief and Magic Collection differs greatly from the deep, dark tones of Bound by Magic. Go back in time to the 80s and 90s and immerse yourself in the days of roller rinks and arcades. Bright colors and a little bit of sparkle make this a funky and fun addition to your home this Halloween. Both of these collections will be available starting June 26.

Four other Halloween collections coming to Michaels July 17

Later in the summer, on July 17, four more collections become available at Michaels. The Vintage Spirits Collection keeps it classic, with orange, black and white being the dominant color scheme, reminiscent of small town Halloweens of the past.

The Hollowed Halls Collection taps into the dark academia aesthetic the world has fallen so hard for, taking inspiration from old libraries and mansions and adding a ghostly twist.

Love Stevie Nicks? The Conjuring Nightfall Collection captures that dark, witchy charm the songstress is known for. Think spells and potions and deep, rich color schemes.

Lastly, the Enchanted Romance Collection is “inspired by the windswept estates, gothic romance novels and doomed love stories of the Victorian era,” says a press release. Deep red and black hues give this collection an aura that’s somehow romantic and haunting all at once.
