16-Foot-Tall Wedding Cake Castle Is the Stuff of Dreams

It may look like a castle straight out of a fairytale, but it’s actually a cake straight out of reality. A 16-foot tall reality to be exact.

Created by ultra-luxurious LeNovelle Cake for a wedding at the equally lavish Trans Luxury Hotel in Indonesia, this is one sweet treat that certainly stole the show. The elaborate creation of a multi-tier cake surrounded by a castle made out of sugar took 15 people almost a month to complete. (And we thought waiting for our cakes to bake took a long time!) On top of that, it took six whole hours for the cake to be put together at the hotel for the big day.

The good news is that it definitely looks like it was worth all the effort. The bakery posted a video of its pride and joy, dubbing it a “see thru castle” on its official Instagram page. Filmed from multiple angles, the video provides a bird’s eye view into just how many intricate and specific details went into designing it — and how absolutely breathtaking all of them were.

Meanwhile, House of Photographers shared images of the cake next to the lovely bride and groom on their page, showcasing just how enormous this dessert really was. Don’t the newlyweds look super tiny in comparison?

As one might expect, the rest of the actual wedding was quite fabulous as well.

We think it’s safe to say that this is one wedding that definitely takes the cake (sorry, we had to!).

Would you ever DIY your own wedding cake? Here’s some inspiration if you or someone you know would like to try it out:
