When Our Grandfather Clock Began Ticking Again, We Knew My Husband’s Mom Was With Us
Woman’s World reader Karen Berkheimer and her husband were comforted by two signs from Heaven
When my husband and I moved into our new house 35 years ago, my mother-in-law bought us a beautiful grandfather clock as a housewarming gift. We were so pleased to receive this gift, and we loved having it in our home. Every time it chimes, it reminds us of her.
Up until about seven years ago, it had always been a working clock. But eventually, I was no longer able to get it repaired.
Even though it has been 18 years since my mother-in-law passed away, the sentimental value never died. So we decided that we would always keep it in our home even when it stopped working.
Recently, my husband had knee surgery. He had been in pain for quite some time. Before and after the surgery were such difficult times for him, and he was sadly becoming very depressed.
The morning after a particularly bad day for him, I was getting breakfast ready when I suddenly started hearing a clicking noise. It kept on clicking for quite a while.
I happened to look at the kitchen clock and it was 8:10. As I started my search to find where the noise was coming from, I walked into the living room where the grandfather clock was and saw the pendulum swinging and the time on the clock said 8:10.
After all this time, our beloved clock was supernaturally working again!
I yelled to my husband to come and look at the clock and a big smile was on his face.
His birthday is 10/8. He knew his mother was sending him a sign that she is with him.
Two weeks later, we went on vacation. The rental agent gave us the code to the front door of the unit we reserved. The code was 10/08. Again, his birthday!
We knew positively that these two signs were his mother simply letting us know she was near, and assuring him he was going to be okay.
My Guardian Angel expert weighs in…

“Karen’s experience is a reminder that our loved ones can reach out to us in meaningful ways,” says Sunny Dawn Johnson, a global authority on the angelic realm, with a portfolio of 22 books, including popular titles such as Invoking the Archangels, The Love Never Ends, and 365 Days of Angel Prayers. “The unexpected ticking of the grandfather clock and the door code matching her husband’s birthday are subtle yet powerful signs that his mother is close by, offering support and comfort. These moments show us that those we’ve lost are guiding and reassuring us during challenging times. Trust these signs as proof of their love and presence. Take a moment to acknowledge their presence and invite them to show up in even more ways in your life.”
