A Music Sign Gave One Daughter Hope After Losing Her Mom: “I Know She’s Always Near!”

'Woman's World' reader Karen McJay received a special music sign from her late mother

Woman’s World reader Karen McJay was grieving the loss of her mother when she began receiving musical signs of her mom’s love!

Karen’s Guardian Angel story told in her own words:

My mom passed away at the end of May, and her loss broke my heart. Though we never talked about what special “sign” we might send each other from Heaven when one of us died, after her death, I was desperate for some sign that she was still with me. And one day…

I love listening to a music station that plays a lot of old standards mixed with modern pop music. As I was listening one morning while getting ready for my day, I began to miss my mom and I told her I hoped she was safe and happy.

Suddenly, I heard Bing Crosby singing, “Heaven, I’m in Heaven…”

Hmm, was that a sign?

A few days later, I thought of Mom and tears welled up. The very next moment, Nat King Cole was telling me to “Smile though your heart is aching, smile even though it’s breaking…”

And recently when I told my mom how much I loved her, Michael Bublé began to sing, “Have I told you lately that I love you…”
So, I started to wonder…Is Mom communicating with me through music?

Many of these songs are from her generation and from some of her favorite artists, so it seemed the perfect way for her to send me loving messages from Heaven.

There have been many more examples, and it may sound silly, but these songs bring me such happiness and comfort. When I’m at my lowest, and I hear just the right song at just the right moment, I know without a doubt that it’s a message from my mom and that she’s still with me every day, and I instantly feel better!

I’ll end my story the way it began, reminding you that my mom died at the end of May. Imagine my surprise recently as I suddenly heard Michael Bublé singing his beautiful song called “End of May.” I know Mom is always close by!

Familiar songs, favorites of her mother’s generation, began to play at moments when Karen felt her loss most acutely. Through her experience, Karen shares a simple, yet profound insight: Sometimes, our loved ones find beautiful ways to whisper that they are still with us.” Read more of Sunny’s insightful stories here.
