The Secret Meaning of Meghan Markle's Pink Outfits

Meghan Markle has been on a roll with her stylish outfits since marrying Prince Harry. Eagle-eyed royal watchers may have noticed that the Duchess of Sussex has been sporting a lot of pink recently — a sign that everything seems to be coming up roses for these royal lovebirds.

“[Meghan’s] subconsciously communicating through color that she’s clearly in love. Soft pinks communicate the nurturing, compassionate, caring side of love. I’m not at all surprised she is feeling this way given the body language between her and Prince Harry — and she is reflecting this in picking the softer pinks,” Karen Haller, an applied color psychology practitioner, told Daily Mail.

If you take a look back at Meghan Markle’s style evolution, you’ll notice that before her wedding she rarely wore pink to events. Since tying the knot with her other half, she’s sported the rosy hue multiple times and looked absolutely stunning in all of them. We were worried for Meghan when she and Harry said “I do” because we didn’t know whether she would take to her new royal duties and all the drama that comes with marrying a prince. (Her mother-in-law certainly didn’t have an easy time.) But Meghan hasn’t looked flustered for a moment — and her clothes might have something to do with that, too.

“The number of high-profile engagements Meghan has had since officially becoming a member of the royal family would no doubt be quite nerve-racking,” Haller said. “As the softer end of the pink spectrum is physically soothing, it’s the perfect antidote to calming those nerves and easing the pulse rate.” (Having Prince Harry by her side and the friendship of Queen Elizabeth also helps.)
