Prince Harry and Meghan Are Coming to America in 2019

Prince Harry was all smiles as he confirmed the news of Meghan’s pregnancy during their tour of Australia and the surrounding areas back in fall 2018. Now, according to Vanity Fair royal expert Katie Nicholl, we can look forward to seeing that level of happiness amplified when the prince and Meghan bring their little bundle along with them to the United States and Canada later this year. We can already imagine how much pride the royal duo will have on display for their first child!

Although many details about the royal tour haven’t been officially released yet, Nicholl claims that Meghan will likely take less than six months of maternity leave before she and the baby join Harry in her home country. As an actress, she also spent a lot of time in Canada while filming the show Suits. Meghan and Harry had originally planned to make the North American visit earlier in the year, but things were obviously postponed to give them plenty of time to prepare for the birth of their child in the spring. Here we thought the only excitement we had on the horizon was finally getting a glimpse of the little guy or girl and learning what name Harry and Meghan choose, but now there’s the potential of getting a closer look at the growing royal family.

Of course, even if they happen to roll into your hometown, it will be difficult to get any one-on-one time with the duke, duchess, and their child. That said, if you’re lucky enough, you could become one of the couple’s new “best friends,” just like Daphne Dunne, the 98-year-old war widow who greets Harry with a kiss every time he visits Australia. The new parents will probably leave the baby at home for those types of walkabouts, though, considering how small he or she will still be at the time.

If we had to guess, we’d imagine the family will make stops in California, where Meghan was born, and perhaps pay a visit to her old stomping grounds in Toronto, where the pair also spent time together early on in their relationship. We can’t wait to find out where else they’ll go in between! Wherever they end up, we just hope there are tons of adorable baby photos to go with each spot.
