Short of getting in my car and driving down South to order it, though, there aren&#8217;t a lot of takeout options near me that offer this dish. That&#8217;s what inspired our test kitchen to come up with this delicious <a href="https://www.womansworld.com/recipe/crispy-oven-fried-chicken">oven-fried</a> Nashville hot chicken recipe. Now I can make it at home to satisfying my craving. You&#8217;ll love it, too. Our version is coated in a touch of hot sauce and a lot of barbecue sauce and then topped with barbecue potato chips for a crunchy, flavorful crust.</p>

							<p>Heat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with foil; place rack on top. In medium bowl, mix ½ cup flour and paprika. In separate bowl, mix barbecue sauce, milk and pepper sauce. In another bowl, stir together potato chips and remaining ¼ cup flour.</p>
<p>Coat chicken, one piece at a time, in flour-paprika mixture, shaking off excess. Transfer to barbecue sauce mixture, then in potato chip mixture, pressing to adhere. Place chicken on rack in baking sheet.</p>
<p>Bake until chicken is no longer pink near bones, about 50 min., tenting lightly with foil if browning too quickly. Remove foil for last 5 min. of cooking time to crisp coating. Let stand 5 min. before serving. If desired, garnish with lime wheels, red chili peppers and fresh parsley.</p>

<p>For a complete and delicious dinner that requires just one dish, a <a href="https://www.womansworld.com/food-recipes/quick-easy-recipes/sheet-pan-dinners-171528">sheet pan supper</a> is the way to go. Simply combine your protein of choice with vegetables and roast. It couldn&#8217;t be easier!  This sheet pan chicken and veggies recipe is one of my favorites. It&#8217;s like eating a roast chicken dinner without all the work and the numerous pots and pans to clean up afterward. We use bone-in <a href="https://www.womansworld.com/recipe/grilled-chicken-thighs-with-sweet-potato-mash-and-green-beans-172713">chicken thighs</a>, which have a deep, rich flavor. Then we add baby potatoes and a mix of hearty veggies, like beans, carrots, onion, and Brussels sprouts, toss with seasoning and roast. While they cook, the vegetables soak up the delectable juices and flavor of the chicken. It&#8217;s so yummy!</p>

<p>Coat potatoes and onions with cooking spray; toss with 1 tsp. seasoning. Place next to chicken. Coat vegetables with cooking spray; toss with remaining 1 tsp. seasoning.</p>
<p>Place on opposite side of chicken. Roast until meat thermometer inserted in thickest part of thigh reads 170°F and juices run clear, 25-30 min. Let stand 10 min. before serving.</p>

<p>Most marinades contain an acid. It helps break down meat fibers so they retain more liquid and turn out extra juicy. In keeping with the theme, we use rice vinegar combined with chili sauce, teriyaki and <a href="https://www.womansworld.com/food-recipes/cooking-tips-techniques/fresh-ginger-hacks">ginger</a>. 							<p>In bowl, combine chili sauce, vinegar, teriyaki sauce, oil, ginger and garlic. If using chicken breast halves, cut each piece in half crosswise. Place chicken in large plastic food storage bag; add marinade. Seal bag; turn bag several times to coat chicken. Let stand at room temperature 30 min. or chill up to 3 hrs.</p>
<p>Heat oven to 425°F. Line rimmed baking sheet with foil. Place rack on pan; coat with cooking spray. Transfer chicken from bag to baking sheet; reserve marinade. Roast until juices run clear when chicken is pierced with knife, 25-35 min.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, in small pot, bring reserved marinade to boil over medium-high heat; cook until thickened, 3-5 min. Cool. Position broiler rack about 6” from heat source; heat broiler. Brush chicken with half of reduced marinade. Broil until lightly browned, 3 min. Remove from broiler; brush with remaining reduced marinade. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve, if desired, with rice and salad.</p>

It preps in just 20 minutes, and after hours in the slow cooker, it&#8217;s filled with delicious Creole flavor. It&#8217;s so tasty, you&#8217;re going to want a second helping — guaranteed!</p>

The yummy vegetable pairs especially well with curry powder, which gives it  some spice, along with coconut milk for a subtle sweetness. That was the inspiration for this chicken with squash curry recipe. It makes a complete and delicious dinner, and it&#8217;s simple to whip up. It only requires one pot, so cleanup is a breeze too. Once you taste it, you&#8217;ll be hooked. It&#8217;s so good!</p>
<p>For this recipe we use red kuri squash, which has a mild pumpkin flavor that pairs perfectly with the heat of <a href="https://www.womansworld.com/recipe/chicken-curry-recipe">curry</a>. But if you can&#8217;t find the kuri variety, butternut or acorn squash would also taste delicious. We cook the squash with garlic, curry, ginger and coconut milk, along with broccoli and chickpeas, and then serve it with sauteed chicken for a kick of protein. <p>One of the best-known dishes in Spanish cuisine, paella gets its name from the Valencian/Catalan word for <em>frying pan</em>. Traditionally, it consists of round-grain rice, beans, green beans, rabbit and chicken broth. The dish&#8217;s pretty yellow color comes from saffron, though turmeric can also be used. Seafood paella replaces the meat and green vegetables with shrimp, clams and mussels.</p>

Spiced-just-right chicken bakes up golden delicious alongside plenty of veggies — and it&#8217;s served atop cauliflower rice.  Best of all, with only 273 calories and just 9 grams of fat it&#8217;s a meal that&#8217;s as slimming as it is satisfying.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re trying to cut back on <a href="https://www.womansworld.com/weight-loss/diets/miracle-carb-diet-143030">carbs</a> riced cauliflower is a great alternative to regular white rice. This grain-alternative has a mild flavor that pairs deliciously with almost anything.
