Serving Size:

Active Time:

30 min.

Total Time:

3 hrs.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough, at room temp.
  • ⅔ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 (3.5 oz.) tube orange Wilton Sparkle Gel
  • 1 (14 oz.) can fluffy white frosting
  • 1 tsp. orange concentrated food coloring
  • 1 (3.5 oz.) tube green Wilton Sparkle Gel
  • 1 (1.23 oz.) pkg. Wilton Spiders & Bats Icing Decorations
  • 20 edible icing leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. On medium speed, beat dough, flour and vanilla until combined. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to ¼” thickness. Using 4½” pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter, cut out shapes, rerolling scraps as necessary. Place 2″ apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake until golden, 10–12 min. Let cool completely on baking sheet.
  2. Using orange gel, outline pumpkin shape on cookies; let stand until set, 15–20 min. In microwave-safe bowl, microwave frosting in 15-sec. intervals until softened; stir in food coloring. Fill in outlines with frosting; let stand until set. Using orange gel, outline and draw on pumpkin ribs. Using green gel, draw on stems and tendrils; let stand until set, 20 min. Attach spiders and bats. If desired, attach icing leaves or pipe on leaves using green gel.
