Ingredients
- 1 (16 oz.) tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough, at room temp.
- ⅔ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 (3.5 oz.) tube orange Wilton Sparkle Gel
- 1 (14 oz.) can fluffy white frosting
- 1 tsp. orange concentrated food coloring
- 1 (3.5 oz.) tube green Wilton Sparkle Gel
- 1 (1.23 oz.) pkg. Wilton Spiders & Bats Icing Decorations
- 20 edible icing leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350°F. On medium speed, beat dough, flour and vanilla until combined. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to ¼” thickness. Using 4½” pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter, cut out shapes, rerolling scraps as necessary. Place 2″ apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake until golden, 10–12 min. Let cool completely on baking sheet.
- Using orange gel, outline pumpkin shape on cookies; let stand until set, 15–20 min. In microwave-safe bowl, microwave frosting in 15-sec. intervals until softened; stir in food coloring. Fill in outlines with frosting; let stand until set. Using orange gel, outline and draw on pumpkin ribs. Using green gel, draw on stems and tendrils; let stand until set, 20 min. Attach spiders and bats. If desired, attach icing leaves or pipe on leaves using green gel.
