If you prefer to grate the cheese for this Mac ‘n’ cheese yourself instead of buying it shredded, make the process simpler with this Woman’s World test kitchen hack: Simply coat the grater with cooking spray before starting. The coating ensures the cheese glides along the grater without getting stuck and clogging up the holes. Bonus: Since the cheese won’t stick to the grater, cleanup is a breeze!

  • 12 oz. elbow macaroni
  • 3 Tbs. all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbs. Dijon mustard
  • 1½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • ⅛ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 8 oz. Monterey Jack, shredded
  • 8 oz. Gouda, shredded

Coat 2½ -qt. baking dish with cooking spray. In large pot of salted boiling water, cook pasta according to package directions for al dente; drain well.
