For millions of shoppers Trader Joe’s is a go-to for unique and affordable grocery finds, but now there’s a must-have beauty dupe that has shoppers buzzing. The retailer has dropped a new body care gift set that includes a new Osea body oil dupe at a fraction of the price. Even better? Fans say they are loving it even more than its more expensive counterpart! Keep reading to learn more about this recent Trader Joe’s find, plus other ocean-inspired beauty products that you can snag for less.

What’s inside Trader Joe’s viral body oil gift set

With the holiday season in full swing, retailers are stocking their shelves with gift sets, many of which are new for 2025. Shoppers at Trader Joe’s have been particularly excited by one find that appears to be an affordable dupe of a popular Osea Malibu set.

The exclusive Trader Joe’s product is called a “Marine Radiance Set” and it features three must-have beauty items: body oil, body scrub and a dry brush. Both the oil and scrub include coastal-inspired ingredients like sea fennel, algae extracts and golden seaweed, with a soothing jasmine and sea salt scent that will make you feel like you’re by the ocean.

The best part? The price! While a similar Osea Malibu set is currently available for $98, this limited-time product can be snatched up for just $12.99. It’s the perfect budget-friendly option for you to enjoy or for a lovely gift!

When a Trader Joe’s shopper discovered the new set at their local store and shared it on Reddit, other fans of the store were enthusiastic about the discovery! Beauty-savvy shoppers immediately spotted the Osea similarity—and at this price? They were absolutely here for it.

“Omg!!! I haven’t been interested in their personal care items for years but this looks good!” said one commenter.

The original shopper and others who have used the kit returned to the post to weigh in on their review—and it was overwhelmingly positive.

“It smells lovely,” shared the shopper. “It reminds me of the Dream perfume that the Gap used to sell in the 90s!”

Another customer agreed that the scent was delightful and not at all overwhelming despite being lavender-infused.

“I used it all tonight and I smell SO good,” they added. “It’s a very fresh, clean scent, less citrusy than the OSEA oil. I think I like the smell even better than OSEA. I hope they will produce full sizes of both the oil & the scrub.”

Since this is a limited-edition release, now’s the time to make your Trader Joe’s run if you want to treat yourself or score an impressive gift.

Even more affordable ocean-inspired beauty dupes

This Trader Joe’s gift set is a great dupe for Osea products, but there are fun options available at other retailers, as well. Here are some marine-inspired body oils, scrubs and gift sets from major retailers that won’t break the bank.

Bodycology Hawaiian Beach Bath & Shave Oil

Fans of the beach will enjoy this particular product ($4.97), which has coconut, water lily, musk and pineapple fragrance notes. And ingredients like jojoba oil, Vitamin E and shea butter leave skin feeling soft without being greasy.

Tree Hut Ocean Glow Hydrating Body Oil

While it may not be an exact Osea dupe, this oil ($12.99) is still popular among Reddit’s beauty gurus. It contains green micro algae, seaweed and shea butter to make it perfectly hydrating. With each use, expect to enjoy the delightful scents of apricot and acai.

Equate Ocean Breeze Shea Sugar Body Scrub

For just $5.97, you can get silky smooth skin thanks to the exfoliating sugar, vitamin E, and shea butter in this scrub. Even better? You can imagine you are seaside while you using the scrub thanks to the aroma of jasmine, fresh water and musk.

Body & Earth Ocean Spa Set

If you’re on the hunt for an affordable marine-themed beauty gift set, this Walmart option may be a great fit. While it doesn’t include body oil, you will receive a candle, bath bomb, hand soap, hand cream, and body butter—all with sweet notes of the ocean. And with a sale price of just $17.99, it’s hard to beat!
