Mika Abdalla, who plays Allie Hayes, and Stephen Kalyn, who plays Dean Di’Laurentis, are also expected to return. They will be the show’s primary couple, meaning that season 2 will follow The Score—book 3—in the Off Campus book series, which was written by bestselling author Elle Kennedy.
“It doesn’t really feel like we missed a beat. We had the press tour and then we went straight to Vancouver to get to work and it felt like we were just there,” Cameli said at Obsessed Fest earlier this year. “We’ve read a handful of episodes for this second season and the writing is still incredible. When we do a table read it’s really fun and we all clap and go ‘wow, we feel really lucky to be on this show.’ That’s what we felt last summer—and that’s how we feel right now.”
“When we first got to Vancouver, we just clicked,” he continued. “There’s really no secret sauce. It’s just a cast of people who got along really well. It was fun from the very beginning. We loved making this show together and we’re working on the second season right now and it’s just as fun.”

As of now, the only cast member not returning for Season 2 is Josh Heuston, who played Justin. This didn’t come as much of a shock to fans, since Justin isn’t featured much in the books after the first installment, but it’s still sad since the actor was one of the most beloved—and best-looking—cast members in Season 1.
“[He is] not [in] next season, but I love Josh and I would not write him off if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point,” creator Louisa Levy told TV Guide. “We never got a chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ends up with in the book. So maybe we’ll find a way to fold him into a future season. We don’t have him [available] next season, but never say never.”
