Lemonaid Health: Real Facts and Figures About 23 and Me’s Telehealth and GLP-1 Provider
GLP-1 weight loss medication is readily available through the Lemonaid, but not in all 50 states
Telehealth providers, like Lemonaid Health, are emerging to help people cope with the stresses of lengthy doctor visits and drug shortages. Lemonaid aims to overcome these issues by offering virtual consultations on your schedule and has an active supply of Ozempic, Wegovy, and compounded semaglutide. Woman’s World recently spoke to a brand representative to gain insights into the telehealth provider.
While GLP-1 weight loss medication is a standout feature, Lemonaid offers care for many other healthcare needs. Its pricing and services are competitive; however, the weight loss program is unavailable in several states.

Lemonaid Health is faster than traditional healthcare
Telehealth providers like Lemonaid Health make healthcare faster and more convenient for people who can’t get to or can’t afford in-person doctors for some services. Because everything is virtual, you can expect to spend less time and money getting their healthcare needs met. Like other telehealth services, Lemonaid starts with a basic health questionnaire.
The telehealth provider will then match you with a licensed medical provider for a treatment plan. It charges a $25 consultation fee for most services. Some states may also require a video or phone consultation for treatment. Once your doctor prescribes treatment, Lemonaid will either ship directly to your home for free or to your local pharmacy. A brand representative says, “Lemonaid offers 200+ prescription drugs via 29 different services, all based upon a medical professional deciding if a prescription medication is appropriate.”

Lemonaid’s prescription refill process
Similar to the initial treatment plan, Lemonaid Health makes the process just as easy to get a refill:
“The process for ordering a prescription refill is designed to ensure the best possible care personalized for each patient. Depending on the service and patient’s need, prescriptions can include refills that patients can request conveniently at any time, while others may involve a follow-up visit to assess ongoing needs and provide an updated prescription.”
Lemonaid Health offers popular GLP-1 weight loss medications
With a fast and easy consultation process, patients can expect faster delivery times for its various GLP-1 medications. Once you qualify for GLP-1 treatment, Lemonaid will ship your medication directly to your home for free. GLP-1 availability is currently limited to a select number of states, so you may be out of luck depending on your location.
During my secret shopper phone call, the agent mentioned that if you register with Lemonaid and live in a state they don’t service, Lemonaid would send an email reminder when service becomes available: “Individuals that qualify for weight loss treatments can be prescribed brand name Ozempic, Wegovy, or compounded semaglutide.”
States in which Lemonaid Health is not available

Lemonaid does serve all 50 states for other telehealth services. A brand representative told us that, Lemonaid Health provides online telemedicine services in all 50 states and D.C. through its affiliated medical groups (subject to local laws). Prescriptions require completion of an independent medical consultation with a licensed healthcare provider through the Lemonaid online platform. Medications are only available if prescribed.
Lemonaid Health has an active supply of GLP-1 medication
Because so many telehealth providers are now on the market offering GLP-1 weight loss medication, there is a much greater demand. Many of these companies list their medications as low in supply, but Lemonaid advertises they have an active supply of compounded semaglutide, Ozempic and Wegovy.
Lemonaid is aware of these shortages and is planning for them. “Earlier this year, we began offering Ozempic, Wegovy and compounded semaglutide through a weight loss program, providing consumers with access to affordable weight management care through a convenient subscription-based model,” a representative told us. “Lemonaid Health also works with a committed provider network that is able to scale with the volume of patient requests rapidly.”
Lemonaid weight loss medication costs could be transparent
While Lemonaid does offer pricing for its variety of GLP-1 weight loss medication, it is not so easily found on the website. However, with a bit more research, pricing for each weight loss medication they offer is available in the frequently asked questions (FAQ) section. I also received this pricing during my secret shopper phone call.
It advertises a $49 per month weight loss membership throughout the site under a photo of GLP-1 medication. This is a bit misleading as it looks like the price of the medication is $49. The membership does not include the price of medication but is the price for your consultation, ongoing support, and if approved, a GLP-1 prescription.
Lemonaid weight loss medication cost examples
| Medication | Cost |
| Compounded semaglutide | $299 per month (plus $49 per month membership) |
| Ozempic | $1199 per month (plus $49 per month membership) |
| Wegovy | $1599 per month (plus $49 per month membership) |
A brand representative told us that discounts are available: “Lemonaid Health intentionally sets its prices to be affordable for patients. For some of our services including weight loss via GLP-1s, we offer long-term discounts and first-month discounts to ensure our patients can afford them.”
Lemonaid Health may accept health insurance for medication
Lemonaid does not accept insurance for its medical consultation fees and prescriptions via mail-order online pharmacy. The brand representative says that is intentional: “Lemonaid Health aims to make the costs affordable to patients outside of their insurance and be close in cost to a normal co-pay,” they said. “For example, a three-month supply of birth control is $45 and shipped directly to a patient’s door.
However, if your current insurance plan covers certain medications, you may opt to have your prescriptions sent to a local pharmacy of your choice. While Lemonaid does not accept insurance, it “accepts most FSAs/HSAs for a patient’s medical visit cost and prescription costs,” according to our interview.
Features and benefits
- Quick approval for popular weight loss medications
- Completely virtual healthcare
- 24/7 customer service
Easy to get customer service on the phone—but not by email
An in-depth FAQ section is available for general inquiries, but it also offers both phone and email support for specific questions regarding your account or treatment. Email support is available 24 hours a day, and phone support Monday-Sunday from 5 AM-4 PM PST.
The customer experience is great by phone but terrible by email
While Lemonaid does not offer a direct email address, you can email them when you register with the site. This is completely free. Lemonaid says they will respond to messages in one to two business days. However, when I emailed questions to the email address provided, I got an automated message that my email was received, but never received any other response.
My secret shopper phone call went much better. I got through to an agent in less than one minute, and they were extremely helpful and answered my questions thoroughly. As I didn’t sign up to be a patient, I couldn’t test messaging through the patient portal.

Online experience
Lemonaid’s website is well laid out and easy to navigate. However, because the telehealth provider offers a lot more than weight loss medications, it could be a bit overwhelming. This is also true for Lemonaid’s FAQ section. While thorough, it took me a few minutes to find the answers to my questions.
After registering for free, Lemonaid has a simple and easy-to-read dashboard where you can send messages, start a new telehealth visit, check your history and see billing information.

Lemonaid Health LegitScript status

Lemonaid Health is a great GLP-1 option, if available in your state
With limited availablily of GLP-1 weight loss medications, finding a quick and easy solution like Lemonaid Health could be a great option. However, the telehealth provider’s GLP-1 weight loss program is not available in all 50 states, so you might miss out depending on where you live. Lemonaid is adding more states and will notify you when its service is available in your area. It offers additional healthcare services beyond weight loss in all 50 states.
Our secret shopper calls showed that it was easy to get in touch with someone on the phone, but we never got a response to our emails, even after weeks of waiting.
