That is what designer Mason Wagner did after meeting Eric, a man with a box of clothes from his late mom and no idea what to do with them. Wagner was not sure either, at first.

“But after talking with my grandmother, a lifelong quilter, I had the idea to piece the garments together and line a jacket with them,” Wagner said in an interview with People. He shared the process and the finished jacket on TikTok, where the video has amassed nearly 500,000 views.

A pair of everyday sneakers worn three times a week for two years lands at roughly 300 wears. Divide the price by that number and you’ve got the real cost of every time you reach for them. It’ll last through multiple wearings, as body heat ‘sets’ the adhesive. When it loses its stickiness, peel it off and pop on a new piece.”

Restring sweatpants with a safety pin

Lost the string to your hoodie, lounge pants or pajama bottoms? “Pin a simple safety pin through one end of the string and use the pin as a guide to work it back through the hole,” encourages Freer. “I taught this trick to an actor who exclusively wore hoodies on a TV show, and he liked to give me heart palpitations by pulling the string out between takes and seeing how fast he could thread it back in before the director called ‘Action!’”

As mentioned above, a huge bonus of flared heels is that they work on just about all heel heights. Prefer a shorter, kitten heel style? You can find a pair of kitten heels with a flared heel. And if you’d rather wear a taller pair of pumps, flared pumps work great!

Even more, we like flared heels because they offer a bit more stability than the standard pair of heels—especially those that have a skinny heel. Having that “flared” end means more width at the bottom, and therefore, more support. Skinnier heels don’t have that advantage and can be hard to walk in.
