The Taylor Sheridan oil drama, led by Billy Bob Thornton, has earned itself a loyal following since its 2024 premiere on Paramount+. Set in the heart of west Texas, the characters at the helm of the series have stolen hearts for two seasons straight—and the show has even made a fan of one icon we love! During a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Ali Larter, who portrays the fierce and fiery Angela on Landman, revealed a chance encounter she had at a New York City restaurant with Landman fan Martha Stewart—and their conversation was everything! Here, what the lifestyle icon said—and a look at Larter’s character over this last season.

Ali Larter has been shining on Landman since the beginning, and even the biggest stars of today have been captivated by her performance! While chatting with Seth Meyers on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Larter revealed that the “very chic Polo Lounge” is one of her favorite restaurants in New York, and during a recent outing for a birthday celebration, she was approached by Martha Stewart herself!
“This woman across the room catches my eye,” she explained, setting the scene for the encounter. “She has kind of like this twinkle, and she’s looking at me and I’m clocking her, and Martha Stewart starts walking straight at me!” she exclaimed. “And I’m going, ‘Oh my gosh, is that Martha?’ She comes up to the table in this huge white fur—she’s like a lioness. And she looks at me and she goes, ‘I wait until 12:01 every Sunday to watch your show. And then she looks at Vivienne and she goes, ‘Your mother is a badass.’” Talk about a dinner to remember! Ali continued, “And we were just all enamored, like in this surreal moment of Martha Stewart, who I love—who’s like the queen, the icon—and she’s a Landman fan.”
What’s next for Angela in ‘Landman’ Season 3?
Since the start of the show, Angela has shown immense growth beyond her initial portrayal—though she’s still known for her somewhat over-the-top way of doing things. Her emotional journey over the last two seasons highlights something of a shift in values, and as viewers, we’ve come to understand the why behind a lot of her actions. At the end of season 2, we see her share a tender moment with Tommy after learning that he will be starting his own oil company after a season full of tension and loss. While season 3 is sure to bring its share of drama and challenges, the season 2 finale left us with something beautiful—hope for Angela’s future and a reminder that even in the toughest times, new beginnings are possible. We can’t wait to see where Angela’s journey takes her next, and we’ll be cheering her on every step of the way!
