Amanda Seyfried gushes over her pal Cher
Since sharing the screen, Amanda Seyfried has had nothing but praise for her famous costar.
“I cried when I found out she was gonna play my grandmother,” Seyfried shared on Late Night With Seth Meyers. “When she came on set, she was just so cool. She’s so cool. She’s like a young woman. She was kind of intimidated by us, and we were intimidated by her, and then she came on set and we saw her fear, and I think we could all relate to each other. It’s like we’re all humans at the end of the day, but God, she’s cool.”

In 2018, Amanda spoke fondly of Cher at the Kennedy Center Honors. “She makes a lot of people feel like the world’s a safe place through her music and her advocacy and her insight. She’s used the enormous power of her voice to speak out on issues that need to be heard, like human rights issues, AIDS research and causes close to our LGBTQ community, which is so cool.”
While Amanda’s got lots of love for Cher, the “Believe” singer shares the same affection for the blonde actress. Last year, while promoting her film The Housemaid (2025), Seyfried stopped by The TODAY Show on her birthday and got a special call from her former costar! “Baby, I wouldn’t get up for anybody this early,” Cher joked on the call.
Whether they’re sharing the screen together or singing each other’s praises from afar, we love this adorable bond they’ve formed!
