If you turned on the TV in the 1990s, chances are you caught at least one episode of Boy Meets World starring Ben Savage, Rider Strong, Will Friedle, William Daniels, Danielle Fishel and more. It had heart, humor, friendships and a love story that had us all swooning. Now, over 25-years-after the show ended, many people are either enjoying it for the first time or re-watching it for the 100th. Fishel is part of the latter group and has even gone so far as to host a re-watch podcast entitled Pod Meets World, alongside her co-stars Strong and Friedle. Woman’s World recently sat down with Fishel to learn more about how hosting the show has been, what product she has to have with her when she travels and so much more. Read on for what she has to say.
Danielle Fishel talks ‘Boy Meets World’
Boy Meets World ran from 1993 until 2000. It was then followed by the spinoff Girl Meets World, which ran from 2014 till 2017 and focused on a new group of Matthews siblings as they—you guessed it—meet the world. Fishel played Topanga Lawrence in both of them, a lovable nerd who served as the main love interest for Cory Matthews (Savage).
“Boy Meets World has such a special place in so many hearts and I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” Fishel tells Woman’s World. “I have been fortunate to work in so many different aspects of the industry over the last 30 plus years both in front of and behind the camera, so it never gets boring.”

In Girl Meets World, viewers do see Topanga living in New York City with her husband Cory, daughter Riley (Rowan Blanchard), son Auggie (August Maturo) and her daughter’s best friend Maya Hart (Sabrina Carpenter). She works as a lawyer, and in the finale is offered a job running her firm’s law office in London, but decides to turn it down so her family doesn’t have to move.
That was in 2017, and nearly a decade later Fishel says that she thinks Topanga has “a home with a real maximalist vibe with deep colors and lots of cozy reading nooks.”
Danielle Fishel shares her must-have cleaning product
As a busy mom of two young boys, Fishel knows all about the daily chaos—and the constant cleanup—that comes with family life. So when Lysol asked her to promote their Lysol Lavender & Cotton Blossom scented products, it was a natural fit for the actress and mom
“I have the Lysol Lavender & Cotton Blossom Disinfecting wipes in my home, car and I keep a baggie with wipes in my purse for travel on planes,” she explains. “My cleaning routine consists of a lot of decluttering, picking up after two small boys—ages five and seven—and wiping up all the mystery stickiness little fingers leave behind.”

“Now that I’ve been on the Dancing with the Stars tour, our nanny and my husband have really picked up the slack,” she continues. “Thankfully, the Lysol Lavender & Cotton Blossom scented products are so easy to use, I can even trust my husband.”
Danielle Fishel reveals what’s next for her
Beyond her partnership with Lysol, Fishel is also focused on growing her own business.
“I have a haircare company called Be Free by Danielle Fishel and we are expanding and growing
into some body care products that I’m super excited about,” she says. “Later this summer I’ll be at the Dancing with the Stars Con in Palm Springs from July 31 to August 2.”
