Inside David Beckham’s Life With Kids Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper: ‘You Have to Really Protect Them’
From Brooklyn's public feud to Romeo's health battle, get the latest scoop on David and Victoria Beckham's four kids
The Beckham family has been one of significance ever since the 1999 union between former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and English soccer star David Beckham. The dynamic duo took the world by storm, with Victoria tackling the fashion industry and David getting knighted, all while raising their four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
David Beckham previously spoke about welcoming children while living in the spotlight, commenting, “Their upbringing is a lot different to my upbringing, so I think there is always a kind of fear factor… I mean, the first day that you have kids, you constantly worry. It’s the most beautiful thing in the world, but you are bringing children into a world where you have to really protect them.”

You may also recognize the Beckham family from recent headlines involving a family feud between Brooklyn and his parents, surrounding his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham. For months, Brooklyn and his wife were absent from many family events, including the premiere of his mother’s Netflix documentary, Victoria Beckham, and his father’s knighthood ceremony. After months of an alleged separation between them, Brooklyn took to social media to share his side of things, calling out his parents for controlling the narrative.
But even with all of the drama and the dirty laundry aired on social media, the Beckham family is still one of the most renowned in the world. Dive into the deep end and learn all about the children of David and Victoria Beckham.
Brooklyn Joseph Beckham, 26

As the firstborn child of the Beckhams, Brooklyn Joseph Beckham was born on March 4, 1999, in London. His unique name was inspired by the city where Victoria learned she was pregnant with him, Brooklyn, New York.
As the son of a singer and fashion designer and the pro soccer player, Brooklyn had a wide variety of career paths open to him and he tried his hand at many of them: acting, modeling, photography, design and cooking. Brooklyn’s love for photography seemed to stick and he began to pursue it more seriously after landing the chance to shoot for Burberry’s Brit fragrance campaign and intern with renowned British fashion photographer David Sims. By age 18, he had published his own photography book, with each image capturing a moment from his life.

After a 2017 meeting, Brooklyn tied the knot with actress Nicola Peltz in 2022. Their relationship began as a private one for the first few years, with the duo announcing their engagement in 2020. Now, having been married for just over three years, Brooklyn and Nicola are facing some issues with the other Beckham family members in an ongoing family feud.
Romeo James Beckham, 23

Romeo James Beckham, the second Beckham boy, was born on September 1, 2002, in London. As a child, Romeo was diagnosed with epilepsy after facing health challenges, prompting an agreement between his parents and the paparazzi to avoid photographing him as the frequent camera flashes could trigger a seizure.
Romeo made his modeling debut at age 10, but soon after followed in his father’s footsteps and began a career in soccer. He played for Inter Miami II starting in 2021, followed by Brentford B. But in 2024, Romeo traded his cleats to pursue a career in the fashion industry.
Cruz David Beckham, 20

Cruz David Beckham was born in Madrid on February 20, 2005. Unlike his older brother Romeo, who has pursued a more private path, Cruz made his stage debut with the Spice Girls at just three years old, sparking an interest in music himself. At 11, he released his debut single, “If Every Day Was Christmas,” and although he hasn’t released any music since, he has learned to play the guitar, piano and mandolin.
He followed a similar path to his siblings as well, making his modeling debut on the cover of i-D Magazine in 2022. Now, Cruz is back in the music scene, releasing a couple of singles with his band, The Breakers.
Harper Seven Beckham, 14

The Beckham family grew with the birth of their fourth child and first daughter, Harper Seven Beckham, on July 10, 2011. As the youngest of the siblings, Harper lives her life largely out of the spotlight, focusing on school and normal teenager activities.
“You are sweet and kind and your smile warms our hearts every day,” Victoria wrote in a birthday post for her daughter. “You really are our everything, Harper Seven, and we are so proud of the happy, beautiful, talented young lady you are becoming.”
